CROOKED AND FRAUDULENT!Towne Properties took over the management of my *** during the summer of 2023. Prior to their taking over of these duties, my monthly *************** were set up to be paid through a monthly automatic withdrawal from my personal checking account. Fast forward 7 months and I receive a legal notice in the mail stating Towne Properties has filed a lean on my property due to unpaid *************** and I am now responsible for paying past dues plus late fees and $456.50 in legal fees.I left voicemails with (************************* Bar No. *****) who's name is on the lean as well as with Towne Properties who did not call me back within the next two days at which time I drove to their physical address. I explained to a member of their acounting team, *********************, that Towne Properties never reached out to me in any way - phone, email, or physical mail to state they were having issues making withdrawals from my account. I offered to pay the past due *************** but she would not let me do that. She said she couldn't talk about the issue and I needed to address all concerns with the attorney (who never returned my call). I told her that I would not pay the attorney fees because this issue occurred due to their complete negligence in handling this situation. I have now paid all of these fees because the *** has threatened to lock me out of the community, plus ************************* has yet to return my call. Towne Properties had all of my contact information on file including my physical address which they needed to mail me the lean.Since this has happened, nobody with Towne Propties has been willing to verify with me that they have my correct contact info and I have offered this to two members of their team who have refused to take the information.This has been complete negligence on their part and more than likely a corrupt practice they have in place to strong arm people into paying Illegitimate legal fees.
