I had my furnace serviced on Friday, November 19, 2021. Friday night of that same date my garage door was not operational. I had to wait until Monday November 22nd to call a company for garage, but couldnt get serviced until Wednesday, November 24th. In the meantime, I noticed that I was a little chilly and turned the thermostat all the way up to 90 without getting any warmer. My thought was that since the furnace was now serviced and clean it was working properly also that there must have been a malfunction before because the house would get so warm. I started thinking that I must have the house insulation checked next spring. I did not know that the garage door was not operational until Friday night when my husband came home from work. When the service tech for the garage came on Wed, November 24, 2021 he first checked the garage light switch which was working, then he asked for the location of the fuse box and flicked the appropriate switch for the garage door. When he did that, I immediately heard the furnace kick on and got excited. He explained to me that the garage, furnace and the garbage disposal was on the same switch. I forgot to mention that I first realized the garbage disposal wasnt working on Monday. He further explained that apparently the service tech from George Winston for the furnace failed to switch the fuse box that connects the furnace and thats why the garage door would not work and that the garage, furnace, and garbage disposal was on the same switch. When I called George Winston company to make a complaint, all I got was that I cant believe my guy would not re check the fuse box, and that it would be looked into. I have always used the George Winston Company and always had good service. This time, George Winston Company slipped up royally and I am disappointed that no one has thought enough about me, as your loyal customer, to give me a return call. I will never use them again. I will tell everyone I know to tell their friends and family to stay away from the George Winston Company. Is this the way to treat a loyal customer. Just a phone call or an I'm sorry this happen to you would have been a great idea.
