I went to Ford of Monroeville on February 3rd for my 5000 mile service. A few issues were discovered including a front right axle that needed to be replaced. I prepaid $222 plus tax and the part was ordered. A week later on February 11th, I sent a text message to one of their Service Advisors informing her that I had completed a customer satisfaction survey and would return when the part arrived. On March 3rd I called the service department and left two messages asking for information pertaining to the needed part, but my calls were not returned. On March 9th I sent the same Service Advisor another text asking that my money be refunded. I missed her call due to being at work, but called back twice leaving messages both times but never heard back. On March 15th, I emailed the woman, Lydia P***** who sent the customer satisfaction survey, explaining the situation, that due to the delay I had the work performed at another garage and that my request for a refund had been unanswered. I never heard back from her. I looked at their website to see if I could connect directly with the Service Manager instead of leaving more messages for the staff to ignore, but no contact information was listed, and the same is true of the General Manager. On April Fool’s day, I got a letter saying the part had arrived and the included invoice shows it was received on February 7th! As of April 8th, they still have not refunded my money nor offered an explanation. The letter they mailed March 30th neglects the fact that I already told them I had the work done elsewhere and asked for a refund. Basically, it’s as if I was trying to communicate my concerns with a customer service A.I. instead of human beings. In fact, I never imagined a company that ranks 22nd of the Fortune 500 would tolerate such antics and unprofessional conduct. Their oversight and training should be head and shoulders above this. For many years I thought is was, but they have proven me wrong.
