      Sent me to collections after I closed an account because I didnt receive a $30 bill. I never received any notice from them either through my account or on paper until three months later (my mail had been set up to be forwarded by the post office before i moved out). It said if I did not pay now, Id be sent to collections. I immediately paid via their phone line and got sent to collections anyway. When I asked why, they said my account shouldnt have been sent. I filed a dispute but the collections company has reached out to them multiple times and received no response. The peoples gas representative was rude and told me that I missed the bills that were sent so it was my fault that my fully paid account was sent to collections. I hate this company.

      ************* Line installer and everytime i go to submit a form for inspection they give me h*** I think company is racist and very rude.

      Peoples gas isn't good my bills it still over 1,400 when I've made over 2,000 in payments there saying its my current charges plus my past bill that is crazy

      ********************* and the subcontractors he is managing have the absolute worst customer service skills and common courtesy. They do not care about residents at all.

      Refuses to come out to take care of turning on our gas. The order was placed on 9/1 and peoples gas dropped the ball. Spoke with ***** a supervisor on the escalation team was told she couldnt help me and she would finally get someone out another day but no one was coming to help us today even though we had been calling the after hours line since Friday prior and no one would come until Tuesday. We are unable to bath our infant and she said that isnt an emergency and having no hot water for 5 days wasnt their fault. We are in a rental property and this is unacceptable. She kept blaming it on the landlord which we were updated each time they called for help. This supervisor needs retrained on customer service she had 0 empathy and told me she was hanging up on me and to call the puc because she wasnt helping me today and i would get no help from anyone today.

      Peoples gas made a mistake on my account then told us it was our problem and shut our gas off until we paid for their mistake. They have a monopoly because they own the gas lines.

      Peoples Gas is a Joke. Sending me a Shut off notice due to not giving access to my business that clearly has posted hours of operation that my employees are almost always there. You call me at 5pm with an automatic message to contact you within 72 hours at said number but when I call back it's after business hours and nobody will call me back during business hours. Then you try to charge me $115 dollar recontacting fee. Wow. I can see turning off my service for Not paying you but turning off my service for not giving you access to the building is outrageous. How about you send a servicemen to my business during my posted business hours and do your inspection instead of being lazy. All of you utility companies are the same. Shame on you.

      Think twice before calling them. I suspected a leak in the gas meter (Their equipment) they came out and told me it wasn't a big enough leak to shut it off and to get a plumber. They "tested" the service line in the yard and "identified" leaks underground. That was put into their system and sure enough, they continued to harass us.Our gas is still shut off until we pay thousands to get the line replaced. The comical part is that without me doing what I thought was the right thing and calling, they never would have known there was a "leak". They treated my pregnant wife with disrespect and didn't even knock on the door to tell her they were shutting off the gas, she confronted this potential stranger walking around in the yard. ************ should be ashamed, embarrassed, and not allowed to bully PAYING customers into thousands of dollars in repairs. They are truly conducting unfair business practices and something needs to be done about it. Reading these other reviews solidifies my point and frustration with this joke of a company.

      The turned off my gas without warning. When they turned it on 48 hours later the technician apparently broken the pilot on my water heater. Now the will not do anything even look at it. I till them there is no gad smell by the water heater they told me no tech will be sent. Call a repair person or replace it.

      I got a noticed slammed on my door that my gas has been shut off. I received no notice that I was behind on bills. When I called customer service I got a lady named ******. I was told that everything was paid up and it shouldn't be turned off. I asked her to have the guy in the truck upfront come back and turn it back on. She was like "We can't because the has other work orders. It won't be back on until tomorrow." The guy hasn't left my property yet. So I'm without gas for 24 hours because a mistake on their part. I asked for a manager and I was asked if I had bi polar. I asked what does that have to do with anything? I just want my gas back on. She told me to go turn my furnace on and roaster myself. Then put me on hold for 15 minutes then picked up and hung up. I had to call back 4 times until I got a manager named ****. He told me that he wouldn't be able to turn on my gas for 24 hours and didn't seem to care about anything when I brought up how rude I was treated and acted like he couldn't hear me and hung up. This is the worst customer service experience ever. I can't believe that employees are able to treat people like this. All I wanted was a correction to the mistake made. Instead I was punished.
