Moved us in August and the out of storage in October 2021. Our first surprise was that our **** was over $5,000 more than our original quote, which was finally resolved after multiple calls from my husband to the manager. We were told it was a calculation error on their part, and they apologized, but admitted they probably would not have caught it if we hadnt! The second and more distressing problem was that they lost THREE separate boxes, one of which contained our WEDDING ALBUM. They refused to take my calls for follow up after filing the claim on November, and their few emails were condescending, inferring that the boxes were surely at our home and we just had not found them yet. In March they finally admitted that they could not find them and offered us a small monetary settlement, which we did not take. You cannot replace a wedding album where so many people in it are now passed away, including both of my parents. I can never in good consciences recommend them to anyone, as moving our valuables is what they are entrusted to do. This post makes me sad, as the workers who came to move us were courteous and professional, but if I can save someone else from the heartache I experienced with my loss, it will have been worth it.

I was the Manager that your husband spoke to with the billing mistake from your original quote. We were able to resolve the pricing error quickly. We do understand the frustration with not having things correct the first time. We do thank you for providing honest feedback. You mentioned our crew being courteous and professional, I hope you see we try to do that throughout our whole company. We obviously cant replace sentimental items and memories with anything other than finding the items. We did our best to locate them. We completely understand you not willing to recommend our company to others, but this was a rare occurrence. South Hills Movers is truly sorry about the irreplaceable missing items.
