-I signed a contract on 3/19/2022 with Apex Roofing and Exteriors to install a new roof (with some related trim work) and new windows (again with some related trim and finishing work). The contract total was $11,515, including $4,715 for the roof and trim work and $6,800 for the window and associated trim work. I put down a $5,757.50 deposit at contract signing. -The roof and most of the trim work was completed by the end of May, and I accepted the work as finished at that time. -The window work was rescheduled three different times, the latest of which was for an install to be completed absolutely no later than Tuesday August 2nd. -At various points throughout the period between the contract signing and August 2, 2022 I attempted to received assurances from Apex that the windows had actually been ordered and had been delivered for Apex to pickup. I never received any supporting documentation. -The last contact I had with Apex was Saturday July 29th, 2022. I received a text message on this day again confirming that the windows were going to be picked up on August 1st and that they would be 100% absolutely be finished no later than August 2, 2022. This was the last time I heard from Apex (specifically, Jeff M*******, who is the owner of the company). -I attempted to call and text over a dozen times between July 30th and August 2nd and I received zero response from Jeff / Apex. I am now attempting to find a company that will complete the job (I expect to sign a contract today on a rush basis and I hope to have the work done by the end of September - two full months late). -I would like a refund of the difference between what I paid and the roof cost plus the difference between what Apex was charging for windows and what I am now paying on a rush basis.
