ONLT reason I gave then a 1-star was there was nothing lower to select.Went to this facility for a weight loss consult, found out they were an out-of-the-network provider. During the consult one of the first things they do is have a financial consult. this seems odd as they had not reviewed the medical necessity first. During the financial consult, they tried to influence me to use out-of-network policy and that by doing so they can discount their services, t then went back to say lets use the in-network police. This back and forth drew my concern. A few weeks later I received a EOB, and it showed services during the consult that were not done. I called them and they stated they will remove the erroneously billed procedures. All please be aware that while the doctor himself seem ok, the staff was unprofessional and demeaning, which is a reflection of the entire WLIAZ operation.

The Weight Loss Institute regrets any issues this patient or any patient may have with our service. We strive to give our patients AAA service with every encounter. In this instance there was miscommunication and a misunderstanding of the Benefit information given at his appointment. We have spoken with this gentleman and explain further that his services are in fact in his network and what his responsibility would be if he decided to move forward. We regret that we could not fully satisfy his needs at the time of the appointment but would be more than happy to continue with his care and/or provide him with his records. Again, anytime our patients express dissatisfaction with our company, we try to correct it to the very best of our ability and look forward in finding a resolution with this patient as soon as possible.
