Around 3/23 Vehicle was dropped off for repair.Bait and switch, unethical business practices.Pro-Tech transmissions worked on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. They first told me that they could rebuild my transmissions for 2k, after pulling it apart I was then told that they could not rebuild, and I would need a new transmission for 7k. I asked about a used one, and they said they could put in a used one for 4k. After they installed the used transmission, I had nothing but issues, issues shifting, check engine light coming off and on, etc. Throughout 6 months or so, they attempted to troubleshoot. Pro-Tech replaced my TCM, charging me for parts and labor. However, I continued to have the same issues. I spent a lot of time taking my vehicle in and out of their shop, at one point they had my vehicle for over a month, with no resolution. In addition, I was having a trusted mechanic review the work they were doing. He found that they were not putting parts back on correctly, as well as missing bolts/parts.I ended up taking my vehicle to a Jeep dealer. They found that Pro-Tech Transmissions put in the wrong transmission and the wrong **** Jeep had to flash the parts for a lower gear ratio to match the incorrect transmission to resolve the issue. I had to pay for this as well.I contacted *** (owner), who I have been working with through this entire process asking if I could be reimbursed for the cost from Jeep and the **** He said that he would not give me any of the money back. I will be taking this company to court.Used Transmission $4500 Used TCM Replacement ****** (was told it was new)Total **********-Tech ******* Total Cost @ Jeep ****** to Flash Jeep components to run at lower gear ratio because the wrong transmission was installed.
