Invoice #******** Date of Service: 3/10/22 Amount Paid for Electric Hot Water Heater Repair: $450.00 Called for repair of water heater. Water heater caused the circuit breaker to shut off twice and even when reset, there was no hot water. Repairman came out on 3/10/22 and quoted $450 to repair it. He said he needed to replace the bottom heat element which was burned out. I asked him to replace both bottom and top heat elements since they were the same age. He completed his work & said service was guaranteed for 30 days and the parts under warranty for 2 years. Within 10 days, the water was dangerously scalding hot at night and no hot water the next morning. I called and ********* sent out a technician on 3/24/22. The technician told me that the bottom heating element was bad, but for $3600, he can install a new water heater! I asked him to replace the new bottom heating element that went bad, but he refused. I asked him to call his supervisor and he did. Supervisor told him not to replace it. The tech told me that I had one upper heat element working and that I would have half a tank of hot water. Within hours of him leaving, I had no hot water. I called ********* twice to speak to his supervisor and my calls were never returned.I called a different plumbing company and they told me that the problem with the circuit breaker and later with the scalding water indicated a broken thermostat. New plumber explained that a regular water heater tune-up should include a package (which costs $35 at Lowes) an upper and lower heat element and an upper and lower thermostat. And the tech should have replaced both when he initially repaired my water heater.********* Plumbing did not repair it properly and then refused to honor their warranty. I paid $450 for nothing and had to pay again to another company to resolve my hot water problem. They did not honor their 30 day service warranty or their 2-year parts warranty.
