    Hello this complaint is about my moving experience. I made arrangements with a company called Starving Students with a woman named ****** on July 1, 2022. But the name of the contractor was Express Moves. This complaint is mainly about the company Express Moves. My moving experience was scheduled by ****** for July the 2nd 2022 from 11am to 2pm. I was told by ****** that I would receive a call from the contractor from 8am to 9am on July the 2nd 2022. This phone call never was attempted or came from the contractor and because of this this partly set the foundation for other things to go wrong.I informed ****** at about 10:25am on July the 2nd 2022 that I did not receive a call from the movers. ****** informed me that she would call me back but I did not receive a call back from anyone. Because I did not receive a call back from anyone I did not expect the movers to come at the time they came. The movers from express moves arrived at around 10:45am. My bed and the bottom part of my rocking chair was not totally wrap in plastic because I was not expecting the movers since I did not receive a call from the contractor. There were two male movers. The younger one tried to help me put the bottom part of the rocking chair into the plastic that came with the furniture but as he was trying to do so the sweat from his body started to drip on and into the bottom part of the rocking chair. This could have been avoided if I would have receive a call from the contractor from 8am to 9am as I was told by ****** and then I would have put the bottom part of the rocking chair in plastic. My bed was allowed to rest on the dirty ground and the older worker took the plastic off the bottom part of my rocking chair and my bed without my permission. And now his germs is all on the bottom part of my rocking chair and my bed. My bedframe was allowed to hit the ground which caused a small tear in the black cover. I want to be compensated for the above 3 items. I uploaded

    RUN!!! Tried to charge me $312 in HIDDEN **** and when I made the guy call his boss back because those charges were NOT discussed upon booking the boss on the phone told me HE CAN WAIVE THE **** IF I LEAVE THEM A GOOD REVIEW! & I was not allowed to pay the discounted amount until they saw my review posted. I called and booked for today 2/3 and they gave a window to arrive between 8-9am and I was told it would be $115 an hour and THAT INCLUDED EVERYTHING (I asked). At 8:45am my partner called to get an ETA and we were told 20 minutes, okay 5 minutes late no biggie. FOURTY minutes later still a no show and hadnt heard a single thing from them. I text the number asking for an ETA and I got a text back sure . My partner called 5 minutes later and by then they were outside. 35 minutes late. The guys were milking time. Asked to use our phone charger, theirs were dying bc they were on them VERY frequently while moving our furniture. One of them was also very very argumentative with the other 2. Mind you they were only there to move heavy furniture and some boxes so not all of our belongings and it still took 3.5 hours. When we arrived at our new home we let them know we didnt want them trying to re-assemble anything to try and milk more hours. We just wanted the truck unloaded Once they were done he had to call his boss for a verified total it had now been 5 hours since they arrived meaning our total should have been $575. Gets off the phone and tells me its going to be $887!!!!! This is when I had him call the boss back for me to talk to. I let him know this was not discussed and that is when he told me I had to leave the review. My partner had to leave before this all happened because we hadnt Planned on this taking so long and he needed to be at work. I felt vulnerable with these three men in my home expecting me to write this review and then pay the money so I did. AND THEN WAITED IN MY GARAGE UNTIL I CASHAPPED THEM GRATUITY.
