ABOUT BBB INSTITUTE FOR ETHICS
BBB Institute for Ethics exists to educate individuals and businesses about marketplace issues and charitable giving practices and reinforce BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. BBB Institute for Ethics is organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes. It offers consumers tools and resources about making informed purchasing decisions, and supports businesses in their efforts to operate with the highest ethical standards. Programs are offered within BBB's 10-county service area, free of charge to schools, colleges, universities, clubs, civic organizations and others as requested.
The programs and activities of BBB Institute for Ethics are made possible largely through the financial support of the BBB Integrity Golf Classic, corporate sponsorships and grants, as well as donations by individuals and BBB accredited business. PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
Center for Character Ethics
In 2011, BBB Institute for Ethics established its Center for Character Ethics to provide guidance and recognition to those exploring and conveying positive values. Through its Center, BBB Institute for Ethics conducts its annual Torch Awards for Ethics, various ethics-based seminars and the Laws of Life essay contest for students.
Savvy Consumer Programs
BBB Savvy Consumer programs educate people of all ages to make wise choices, and engage businesses, consumers and donors in important marketplace issues. Every year, BBB provides workshops and resources to thousands of consumers around the state.
BBB Military Line
We believe that "Knowledge is Power" and "Financial Readiness equals Mission Readiness." Through BBB Military Line consumer education program and our web-based and mobile technology endeavors, we work to bring financial literacy to a most deserving segment of our population. Education and outreach that is user focused - on the ground - on the web - and through mobile technology - we seek to equip those who serve, have served, and their families with the tools they need to navigate an ever changing and often complex marketplace.
