            Stayed one night, with a late check in on Friday, 03/26/21. Worst nights stay out of my one week get away, which happened to be my last night away too. Paid $250.00 dollars for a room described as "luxury," however the room was dirty, floors creaked ridiculously loud, stool cushions were cracked with wear and extremely uncomfortable to sit on, coffee maker was filthy inside where water and grounds go, toilet leaked, shower head leaked, black mold present at both corners of the front of tub, where tub meets the floor, frayed, stained bath mat provided with pubic hair on it, body hair seen on bath floor, door and door casing, filth found on window sills and baseboards, throw rug next to bed dirty with stains, all windows left unlocked, awoken by neighboring guests having sex, then talking in the middle of the night, resulting in a sleepless night. With a total of about 13 hours on this property, exhausted and having to get back home to work, with a 5 hour drive ahead of me, I chose to mention all these issues when I was prompted by the Expedia platform to rate my experience at this motel. Some unknown person representing this property responded very nonchalantly, blaming Covid for the motel's lack of cleaning staff and their inability to maintain their normal "exceptional standards." This statement, along with the filthy status of the room, concerned me even more, wondering if I might have contracted the virus there. This person, who never did identify themselves, proceeded to send me photos of the tub grout, saying it was the black grout I was seeing, not black mold. However, that photo does reveal one of the two corners in front of the tub with mold and water damage to the wood flooring present.This is what I reported, not the tile grout. This person also stated that even though one of the stool cushions was worn, it did not justify replacement. This person mentioned one stool, I had mentioned both. Then there is the photo they sent of the coffee maker, just the front of it, describing how nice it was. They obviously did not look inside of it, which is where the issue is, to the point I would not use it. This unknown person went on to suggest that if I had an issue with the cleanliness of the coffee maker, that I should of hauled it over to the main office for cleaning. Whoever this person is that I had correspondence with, does not belong in the hospitality business, nor should ***** be inspecting the rooms. This person obviously overlooks most if not all the issues, then blames a paid guest for not reporting their horrible experience while on their property.
