This review is NOT about my dentist, ************. He is awesome, and I feel safe, respected and treated with GREAT care and skill. I honor ************. This is about Gentle Dental. I have been living in ***********, ** for over 40 years. I used to be able to get into Smile Keepers, who is now known as "Gentle Dental" and located at : **************************************************************************** within a week at most. But for the past 10 years or more, I must wait anywhere from 3-6 months to get an appointment, no matter what my condition. I got into Gentle Dental with the plan to get several crowns done, but had to wait 5 months between appointments. By the time I got to this one three months ago, I was told to have an endodontist check the root canal for viability, Had an appointment to have it pulled 2 months later, but two days before was told they "accidentally" scheduled me on a day my dentist was out. Scheduled me for 6 months out AGAIN. By this time it was making me ill. I was furious. So, they "fit me in" after calling again and telling them I had been in pain for some time. Got the tooth pulled last week, finally. Still having pain and swelling a week later, and told to come back at 7:30 am this morning for a post-op check up. When I arrived there was a line of at least 6 "emergency" patients ahead and one behind. Was told they could only see two people because they were short-handed and the rest would have to go to ***************** ********. The woman behind me had just driven 20 minutes from ******** after being told to come to the *********** office. So, no post-op follow-up for me today. If I am lucky, I might be able to be seen again by September. This is the ONLY dentist in town that takes the ****** Health Plan. This is horrible health care **********************. Gentle Dental needs MORE dentists, and better schedulers.I am furious at getting this kind of treatment. In my opinion, it is malpractice to not provide post op care in a timely manner.
