    I have an '01 Dodge Dakota with a small lift, 1.5". I was recommended to go there to get 2 upper ball joints, and a left inner tie-rod replaced, and an alignment because I have new tires.. After they replaced the parts, my truck didn't handle good at all, pulling VERY hard to the right. I dropped the truck off with no pull, or noticeable issue. The company that referred me to them did knowing the truck was raised a little with stock parts. When I showed up to Lance's Superior Auto the nice lady at the front desk accepted my truck for the repairs, and alignment. No warning of any possible issues. They did the $900 worth of repairs but then said that I would have to go to another shop to have them fully do the alignment. They said they cannot do the full alignment, but when I call every other shop they express that they can definitely adjust the camber, caster and toe (normal adjustments for alignments) on my truck. Talked with Lance himself and the only options I was given were to have the bad parts reinstalled, have them readjust it out of spec or drive slowly to another shop!? They also said they do not have to tools to adjust the camber and caster. Looking online at a Mopar manual for my truck it says it only needs wrenches or sockets/ratchet, and alignment rack. So now I have to just go somewhere else. Took my money and then they returned it in a much worse condition, with no actual fix.....simply saying that I have to drive slowly to someone else to get it fixed fully!? They shouldn't have accepted it if they don't know how to adjust it all. They shouldn't have had me pay for the $900 in repairs if they couldn't even adjust it fully, like every other alignment place that I talked too can. This was an incomplete repair. Firestone in Oregon City Shopping Center said they can happily adjust it for me, I should just have had them do it to save money and time.

    I apologize for the inconvenience of having to take the truck to another shop for the rest of the alignment. We had full intensions of being able to perform the full alignment, and yes under NORMAL circumstances we can do that. The fact is we were unaware of the lift / modifications to your truck, the torsion bars had been previously adjusted to their tightest maximum setting to achieve the 1.5' lift so the larger than stock tires do not rub.. We do not have the equipment to overcome this torsion load and hold the wheel in proper alignment while loosening, adjusting and retightening. We only charged for the new parts, removal of the worn out parts and installation of the new parts and removed the alignment fee from the invoice. We are a small independent repair shop that cannot afford to compensate for inconvenience. Again I'm sorry for that inconvenience.
