Census Bureau's American Community Survey is Legitimate

The American Community Survey is an ongoing survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. Recent callers to the BBB have asked if the survey is really from the Census Bureau.

According to the Census Bureau, random addresses are selected in every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Approximately 3 million addresses are selected each year to participate in the survey. You may also call the census bureau to ask if your address was selected to participate.
