Brian WrightPresident / CEO

As President & CEO, Brian promotes self-regulation and ethical business practices throughout the entire business community. He serves as the ultimate visual presence of BBB and alerts the community to good buying practices, as well as to trends in unethical, deceptive or unfair business practices. He is responsible for ensuring a productive, successful and profitable service organization.

About Brian:
I am a graduate of Elon University. In my free time, I enjoy automobiles, golf, hiking and outdoor activities. I am happily married and am always excited to spend time with my three children.

I enjoy learning the stories of trust and integrity from the leaders throughout our community and serving consumers who seek a voice.

Kristie AngelBusiness Credibility Agent 

A loyal BBB employee of 17 years, Kristie wears many hats. When consumers call to inquire about the reliability of a company, Kristie answers. She is responsible for accrediting prospective businesses. Kristie also performs advertising reviews for both accredited and non-accredited businesses. 

About Kristie:
My family is my hobby. Having four kids involved in all sports – baseball, softball, tae kwon do, cross country – I am pulled in many directions.  I volunteer with local non-profits, including Arts for Life through Brenner Children's Hospital and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Having a son with Type 1 Diabetes, both organizations have touched his life.

Why BBB?
I enjoy helping people, especially senior citizens. I always imagine my Grandparents are on the other end of the line!

Kelly MaceOperations Manager

Kelly oversees operational performance, ensuring we adhere to BBB standards. She is tasked with facilitating our policy and procedure handbook and also manages internal team cross-training. Last, but not least, Kelly is responsible for all of our investigative work.

About Kelly:

Having graduated from NC State University with a few science degrees, I worked for 20 years in various industries like environmental testing, battery manufacturing, and auto repair & towing. I was able to spend a wonderful summer riding my motorcycle over 12,000 miles around the US. I love to knit and shop for yarn.

Why BBB?
One of the highlights of working for the BBB is having the opportunity to help people learn about scams and how to avoid them.

 Wanda Stevens- Business Manager

 In her role as Business Manager, Wanda wears many hats. From accounts reconciliation to payroll, to office management, Wanda keeps the Bureau running smoothly. 

About Wanda: 
I am originally from Sacramento, California. 5 years ago, I moved to Houston, Texas, then, in late 2016, I got married and moved here to North Carolina. Along with my 3 daughters, I also gained 2 stepdaughters and a stepson. I graduated with an Associate’s Degree last May and I plan to continue on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree. I love living here in North Carolina. It is a beautiful state with a wide variety of outdoor activities available. On my time off, I love traveling around the state with my husband and exploring new places. We love both the mountains and the beach. We enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and white-water rafting, and we are very fortunate to live in a state that offers so many beautiful campgrounds, lakes, and rivers that allow us to do what we enjoy.

Why BBB?
I began working for the BBB on February 27th, 2017. I am grateful for the opportunity to work for the BBB. I find my position to be both challenging and rewarding and am glad to be a part of an organization that contributes to making our business community stronger and more reputable through protecting consumers and supporting local business owners in ways that help them to be more successful and honest in their business practices.

Jenny Hutcherson- Director of Marketing
Jenny is the Bureau’s wordsmith. As Director of Marketing, she creates much of the correspondence that businesses and consumers receive, through newsletters, social media, and various other forms of advertising. She coordinates our co-operative advertising programs, creates and disseminates press releases, and generally just helps out where she can.

About Jenny: I’m originally from Winston, and enjoy living in the West Salem neighborhood with my husband (a local artist and teacher) and young daughter. I earned my BA from UNC Greensboro and my MA from Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!), both in English. I’m a writer, a prolific reader, and I love exploring and supporting Winston Salem and watching it grow into a true cosmopolitan city. 

Why BBB?: I think that in order to be happy with your work, you must find resonance with the mission of the company. BBB’s mission is advancing trust, which is a very easy concept to get behind.

 Reedy Mensh- Business Relationship Manager

 Reedy is here to make sure the partnership between businesses and the BBB is as beneficial as possible. Her role as Business Relationship Manager includes the orientation and onboarding of newly accredited businesses, ensuring that businesses have the tools necessary to best advertise their accreditation status, and being a general contact for businesses.

About Reedy: Having grown up in Winston, Reedy graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. She lived in Maryland for 7 years after college, she moved back to WS with her kids and loves everything about Winston Salem! Reedy has 3 sons who are active in football, lacrosse and basketball and she loves going to their games.

Why BBB?: I love the opportunity to meet new people at different events and help consumers and business owners…trying to help educate both segments of the population about all that the BBB is available to help with- which most don’t know!!

Melissa Neal- Dispute Resolution Administrator

As Dispute Resolution Administrator, Melissa is the friendly voice that consumers turn to when they are in need of guidance and advocacy. Melissa processes complaints, investigates patterns of complaints, and is usually the first point of contact for those reaching out to the BBB.

About Melissa: Melissa is a newlywed who was born and raised in Winston Salem. She graduated from Mt. Tabor High School, has three children, and three grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys painting, arts and crafts.

Why BBB? I love the character of the office, and enjoying getting to know my team-mates.
