Walther. Roofing replaced my lanai roof after Ian and I couldn’t be more delighted. They exceeded my expectations. They added the roof to the existing walls and blended them together such that you would think it was a complete rebuild. DavidReview from Ernie & Mary M

This roofing company doesn't hold any accountability. Watch their small print!! They say they're not responsible for ANY INSIDE CIELING DAMAGE. NOR are they responsible for their roof not leaking and damaging your furniture. We've had them come back at least 5 times to fix a leak that destroyed the cushion on my husband's recliner. They refuse to replace it, they just will pay for cleaning it. They don't take any accountability of their roofers standing in one spot smoking pot. WE CANNOT STAND TO HEAR THERE LYING COMMERCIAL ON THE TELEVISION. BILL WATHER is only out for HIMSELF!! He doesn't give to ***** about his costumers!! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ROOFING COMPANY!!Bill Walther Construction & Roofing, Inc. Response

We completed this roof on 4/13/2023. Bill Walther personally went and collected payment on this job to ensure customer satisfaction. The customer was unhappy about a door that was scrapping against the sheetrock. We could tell the door had been doing that a while because of the markings. We offered to fix it anyways, but the customer preferred to have the $150 credit we took off his bill and he was more than satisfied. 10 months later on 2/05/23 and we responded and came out to fix the Llani leak within the week. We thought we could fix it with seal, but it didn't work so when the customer called again on 2/19/23 we were there within 24 hours and fixed the problem completely. The recliner is fully functioning. We offered to have this chair cleaned even though we saw no damage to appease the customer and the customer seemed happy with this. We were waiting to hear back about how much the cleaning fee would be. He shook our salesmen's hand (Chris) when we agreed to pay the cleaning fee he came up with. This is the first we are hearing about the customer ever being dissatisfied. The customer took a video of his Llani leaking onto his recliner and did nothing to prevent it. No towels were laid down and there was no attempt to move the recliner. Even so, we agreed to move forward with having it cleaned to ensure the customer was satisfied. (The customer claims he was out of town but somehow managed to send us a video of it leaking onto the chair) The customer is claiming we were smoking pot and I can ensure you none of our roofers do any sort of drugs. When confronted about this he claims he said it was when we did the roof 10 months ago. However, when Bill came to collected payment, nothing was said about this issue. Glen is making an appointment with the customer the first of next week to ensure all damages and leaks are handled.Review from Tina W.

Bill Walther Roofing is the worst company that we have ever worked with. Our shingled roof failed inspection 5 times; it took them close to 6 months to finally complete the house roof, lanai and patio roof. The lanai and patio failed two times. This company is disorganized and changes their business practices after a contract has been signed in attempt to receive more money. Promises are made but never kept. Chuck Walther will lie directly to your face and flat out deny it. He is a bully. He tries to take advantage of the elderly in 55+ communities. We strongly urge anyone considering hiring this company to think twice because they talk a good game but the work is fair at best.Bill Walther Construction & Roofing, Inc. Response

Arcadia building department was originally letting us pull permits without engineering and then they changed it during the time of us doing the job. This roof among 3 others got failed because they needed engineering which we were not made aware of at first. As soon as we were notified, we made sure to fix the job with engineering. There was a leak in the carport, and we came out and fixed the ridge cap to stop the problem as soon as we were made aware of it. When we fixed the roof, we fixed it according to how the roof was originally; however, due to new wind load requirements since the original structure was done, we had to add an extra beam and bolts. The failed inspection was not due to the roof being done improperly, but because of new requirements from the engineer and county to strengthen the structure for future hurricanes. We had to order extra material to do this, which the customer knew would incur more cost. This customer paid in full, and then stopped payment on the check after giving it to us. Most of these issues were out of our control and at the disgression of the Desoto County building department and the sealed set of engineered plans. The shingle portion of the roof failed the first time because the inspector thought we nailed shingles over a metal deck on a mobile home. Glen met the inspector on the job and showed him it was plywood. The second time the inspector said we put shingles on a low pitch, so we met him out there again and our pitch gage showed him it was a 3/12 which was not a low pitch. The third time we removed shingles to show him that the peel and stick covered the area under the eave metal. Regardless he still wanted all rake edges to be removed so he could see the under layment which was all correct when it was showed to him.Review from Lydiad

After an extensive search (since hurricane Sally) to find the right roofer who was skilled and knowledgeable enough to handle our unique roof situation, we finally came across Bill Walther roofing. Hiring this company was the best decision we ever made. Their crew did a spectacular job from start to finish. They went above and beyond our expectations. Their quote was accurate, they were patient answering my countless questions, completed the job quickly and they cleaned up. Job well done!Review from Rachel D

TLDR: DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY. I hate leaving bad reviews for companies, but they have left me no other options at this point, so hoping this encourages some sort of response from this company. Bill Walther roofing installed a new roof on my home summer of 2019. They were a little sloppy with clean up in my yard, but overall I was pleased with the experience. Good price, looked great, and no issues. After Hurricane Sally made landfall in September 2020, I noticed a small area of water damage on my ceiling. Because my roof was still under warranty, I placed a tarp on the roof and contacted Bill Walther to come assess for damage. I understand roofing companies are extremely busy post-hurricanes, but it was impossible to even get them on the phone. I'm not demanding next day service, I would just like a call back. After calling and leaving messages about every 2 weeks, I finally got an employee to call me back and come assess my roof in JANUARY. He stated the only repairs needed were a couple damaged shingles that would be covered under warranty, and he would send someone out that week to replace them. I never heard from him again. I have again left messages every 2-3 weeks for the past FIVE MONTHS attempting to get a date scheduled for this repair, and have never heard anything back. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, unless you want to feel stranded in limbo waiting for the disappearing staff to call you back. I will update this review with better rating IF and WHEN I ever get a response from them.Bill Walther Construction & Roofing, Inc. Response

Kevin came in January and the damage shingles were due to the tarp she placed on her roof. After assessing her roof leak we let the homeowner know no shingles blew off the roof, it was due to heavy wind and rain during the hurricane blowing through the ridge vent. This wouldn't be considered warranty due to a Category 2 hurricane causing water intrusion that is unpreventable. However, the tarp that was installed damaged 2 shingles causing a cosmetic issue. We decided to replace those 2 shingles and this has been resolved at no charge to the homeowner. We took pictures and contacted the homeowner today. The roof is still under warranty.
