My 14 year old daughter went there to eat with her friends after school like they usually do during the week. An employee named Elaine decided to start harassing the group of kids saying they were getting Sprite from cups designated for water. And because my daughter shared her drink with a friend she couldn’t get a refill. My daughter then tried to go into the kids area of the restaurant and Elaine stopped her and said, you can’t go in there because I need to watch you. Then the cops were called by Elaine and the officer removed them because she complained they were being loud and disruptive. I would like to point out the children purchased food and were rightful customers. My daughter’s mother returned to the store later to speak with the employee but she was off. The employee there immediately told her that Elaine was harassing the kids and her behavior was uncalled for. In addition the kids were not being loud and disruptive. We have the conversation on camera if the owner would like to verify my words. I would like for this situation to be handled swiftly, if the owner ever views this comment. But rest assured we will be reaching out through various means. This comment is specifically for the Shalimar, FL location.

Let us begin by saying that we sincerely appreciate your business. However, and similar to what you have written us, we have received reports of high school students who have at times been destructive to McDonald's property, have stolen product from the store (e.g. Sprite in water cups,) and/or have been a nuisance to other guests inside the restaurant. Like many other stores and restaurants, we do expect that all of our guests follow standard decorum while visiting McDonald's. If management or any of our guests are experiencing an issue with any person or group of people that is creating a problem within our store, we may have to contact law enforcement to have the offending party removed from the premises. As you mentioned, your daughter does visit this location frequently with her friends and as aforementioned, they fit the description provided to us as a group of guests who have caused issues at our store before. We do have to ensure that we are creating a pleasant experience for you and our guests and because of issues in the past, we may have to adjust how we approach these issues. We expect restaurant management to ensure that our policies are being followed and as long as any guest that visits our restaurant follows our general restaurant policies, they are welcome to dine at our McDonald's.
