      Terrible company. The fact that the "owner" feels to need to rebut every negative review in a highly condescending tone while putting out their previous clients privileged information shows the level of professionalism that company operates with. The company is only concerned with the owners of the few properties they have, not the tenants at all. It took them over a year to fix a master bathroom because it is apparently "impossible" to find a plumber that was willing to do the work and they were never quick to respond to the few work orders they actually attempted to fix, leaving multiple work orders open for several years. I hope that whoever is looking to rent a place doesn't use with this company and put themselves through the negative experiences myself and countless others have endured. If you do, however, decide to rent through them then I wish you the best of luck. You'll need it.

      The BBB request that we respond to all reports on their site. First, let me state as the company owner I personally regret that you had such an experience as you report here. We work hard to and have worked very hard for over 3 decades in this business to provide a positive tenant experience. We are grateful for all the positive letters, cards, and statements we get. We are also concerned for a handful of people out of thousand who are disgruntled as you appear here. We try very hard to maintain tenants' relations and always prefer the pleasant experiences. It seems that you were not satisfied with the way we took care of you even though we worked diligently for resolve with the few concerns you had. Therefore, per the suggestions of the BBB agent I am responding and will be as informative to the "public" as possible in this. There is nothing that follows that we have not communicated with you and you personally know of the concession made by the owner. First, let me state that we do not own the unit in which you lived. Next, all the issues were a result of the hurricane that caused minor damages as to livability of the unit. Next, the owner offered for you to move out with "no penalty" for breaking the lease. Maybe, you did not want to move out because you were getting a house on the water for $1,000.00 less than market value after the storm. The owner then had to hire a law firm to pursue an insurance claim. We realize it took time for this to work itself out, but we can do no work on a unit till the owner instructs us to and funds accounts to pay for repairs. So, we see you continue to blame us in this situation in your claim with the BBB even though we explained these many times. The truth in this is as follows: 1) the owner gave you the opportunity to break your lease after the storm. You refused that opportunity. 2) since you stayed, the owner gave you a rent reduction of hundreds of dollars per month. This allowed you to continue to live at a waterfront location at 60% of rental value. 3) you had the opportunity to move and leave the residence at any time without penalty. Yet, you refused to leave and continued to complain. 4) It took the owner demanding you to move out that you finally left. 5) now months after leaving you want bash our company for thing we cannot control. The question that needs answering is if you were treated so badly and the condition were so bad, why would not leave? We always review posts for those like yourself. We use all "honest" complaints as training tools with our staff to better our services and work to improve customer care. We have reviewed your rental history and the above statements are the reality of it all.
