    I had a Dr appointment 2-4 I owed $198.00. I asked was this for my Medicare deductible & told yes. I paid that amount that day. When I returned for a follow-up visit I was told I owed $102.96. I asked why since I had just paid $198.00. I was told it was toward my Medicare deductible for this year & the other payment had be applied to 2021. I said I met my 2021 Medicare deductible last year when I had my colonoscopy & endoscopy. I was told I had to contact the hospital so I paid $102.96 that day 3-1-2022. Then I contacted the finance billing office & was told when I paid $232.01 on 2-4-2021 at the hospital $172.44 of the money was applied to an outstanding balance from 2011 & $59.57 was refunded in 2021. So, I began researching my tax information, receipts and insurance records from 2011, 2013, 2021 & 2022. After trying to work things out over the phone & going to the hospital with my copies of records to prove i did not owe money that NO ONE LOOKED AT from 2011 with the hospital billing office I contacted Dr billing office, Humana, Medicare & Blue Cross Blue Shield. I was instructed by Cullman Social Security/Medicare office & Humana to file a formal grievance because money paid for my Medicare deductible was NOT USED FOR THAT. The hospital records I was given shows my account a zero balance 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, etc. It showed where I had been in contact with their office in 2011 up to 2013. I have had other test/procedures before 2021 & was never told I owed money from 2011 nor was any collection agency involved to collect money. Their own records indicates a contractual agreement & settlement made with Blue Cross in 2013 & pathology reports/results were completed by independent labs. I have records of payments to the labs from 2011. Also, ALABAMA LAW CODE SECTION 6-2-34 STATUE OF LIMITATIONS FOR MEDICAL BILLS IS 6 YEARS. Money intended for Medicare deductible was MISAPPROPRIATED, staff rude, lied, NOTHING RESOLVED, DON'T GO THERE!
