The most greediest bank! They will make sure to mess with your accounts and charge you an ungodly amount of insufficient funds charges. This bank is a joke.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

Thank you for your feedback. We reviewed your account and see that you have an electronic withdrawal from Sezzle that comes out of your savings account. As a courtesy we did refund $350.00 in fees on December 8, 2023. When funds are not available in your savings account and an electronic withdrawal transaction comes through, an Insufficient Funds Charge will be assessed. Savings accounts do not qualify for Overdraft Privilege coverage. Please contact should you have any additional questions.Review from Richard V

Totally inept and I competent. My wife and I have two minimal accounts opened in order to receive occasional notary service and such. Their interest earnings accounts pay too low to do otherwise. First time there needed a Medallion notary for Treasury Direct. Manager suggested Medallion wasnt necessary and had to insist and show him the directions to do it. Second time notary told us she couldnt notarize a living will or anything from outside the county. Wrong on both counts. We to to another branch and had it done with no problems. Tried unsuccessfully to transfer a dollar to my wifes account using online banking to keep my account from going dormant. Was told it didnt go through because my wifes account was already in dormant state. We were in branch the previous day to get printouts of our member numbers. No one told us of this. Moreover even with updated address, phone, and email no one informed my wife of this. When logging into Online Banking there is no notification of this. Phone representative ***************** this and tells my wife she.has to visit branch yet again. A clown show is putting it mildly and politely. I would guess nearly any competitor would be more competent than this place.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

Absolute joke of a system. Cannot get a hold of a person who knows what they are doing. Can't make payments inside stores. ***** systems, custom links, log in, password resets - NONE OF THEM WORK. **************** is slow, and lacking. Can't be upfront about anything. Do they want your money or not? Card is chopped up and account is closed. BE WARE REDSTONE RURAL KING CARDS.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

I had a fraudulent issue. My phone has been turned off because of this issue. I also have had money taken taken because not enough money. I've sent 2 emails and visited the Arab, ** branch and spoke with ******************* 3 times. Last call was told they're behind my 2 weeks. They had originally told me 3 to 5 business days. ******** took $70 from my account. I called 2 different departments and told me I had no account with them. Yet they sent me the wrong sim card. That's why I call for sending of correct sim card. I was told several times they had no account with me. I contacted the fraudulent department and was told that's not fraud. Even you tell me I have no account yet took money from my account. I don't understand how this is not fraud. I started this problem on 7/11/2023. They have yet to fix this and no contact. I'm 68 and on social security and don't get money again until 9/1/2023.I'm negative-$80.24 in my account. I have no one I can borrow from. So some how I'll no money for near a month. I may not have several accounts and been a long time customer. If this is how I've been treated I must change banks. I know you may think this is not important but I suffer from depression and anxiety disorder. I had to call my Doctor ************************* for stronger medicine to deal with this Very sad customer ************************************* I wanted to add this is 8/9/2023 and have been working on this matter since 7/11/2023. We hate to hear of your recent issues regarding your phone carrier, ********* Redstone Federal Credit Union (RFCU) takes our cardholder experience seriously and our goal is to fully support you whenever you have an unauthorized charge process through your account. In regards to RFCU processing your debit card dispute claim against ********* the following information has been concluded:1.RFCU received your original debit card dispute claim on July 11th, 2023 in reference to a transaction (that same day) from ******** Auto Pay . The details of your claim were lacking critical information needed to be accepted through ****s resolution process. In the processing of **** debit card disputes through **** Claims Resolution via **** Resolve Online, RFCU is required to obtain additional information regarding such claims prior to proceeding. **** will not process the claim without these details being supplied and will consider the claim invalid. RFCU sent you a request for more information via email with a required response back date by July 24th or we would be forced to close the claim against ********* Your original claim was closed due to lack of cardholder response within deadline. 2.RFCU then received another claim from you regarding the same transaction on July 26th, 2023 in which you supplied additional information within your claim that allowed us to process the claim though ****. Your account was ************************ for the full amount disputed (provisional credit pending the processing of the chargeback against ********) on August 1st, 2023. Additionally, RFCU refunded two $25 NSF fees to your account on August 5th and then refunded three more $25 fees as a courtesy refund on August 11th (the date of your BBB complaint). At this point RFCU has credited back the funds from your claim against ******** as well as additionally refunded fees credited back to you as a courtesy. Please be aware that RFCU may contact you again in the future regarding this matter as ******** will have the opportunity (their rights within **** Claims Resolution ) to rebuttal your claim and we may need further information from you should ******** challenge your claim against them. Should that occur, please be assured that RFCU stands ready and willing to support you through this process. Our members needs are our top priority. I will never use this credit card service again, no rewards like they claimed, app will not let you access account half the time, and when I made a payment, even though the payment came out of my checking account right away, they did not credit my credit card for 6 business days. I called customer service and he said they put a hold on payments over the weekend. I paid them on a Thursday and their payment was pulled immediately from my account. Redstone Federal Credit Union (RFCU) takes our members feedback very seriously. Based on this compliant, we conducted an investigation into your cardholder experience. Our research indicates your RFCU ********************************* cards rewards were earned according to our disclosed agreement that you received along with your card. In reference to your challenges in accessing your account via our online banking app, our research indicates you registered successfully for digital banking on 5/30/2023, and there have been no failed login attempts in our system. However, if you are utilizing an ******* device, you may have experienced errors with the ******* mobile app sporadically over the past few weeks. We have worked diligently with our vendor and it appears any issues related to the ******* mobile app have now been resolved. Here at RFCU, we track the uptime for our digital banking mobile app and have meet an *****% uptime goal over the past 12 months. We apologize that your recent experience with our mobile app did not meet this objective. We do not foresee any further issues regarding ******* devices accessing our mobile app. Lastly, your relationship with RFCU is newly established (less than 30 days on books when you made your first card payment) and many times credit card payments are floated for 3 to 5 business days on newly established accounts based on certain criteria to allow for payment validation. In your recent situation, your payment was floated for 3 business days (payment was made on 6/8/23 and the float expiration date was 6/12/23). This is a fraud mitigation tool for newly established accounts as many times credit card payment sources cannot be validated real-time. As your relationship with RFCU continues, and a positive payment history is established, your payments will likely not float as often or may not float at all. Please contact us with any further questions regarding this payment system tool and we can share in more detail the parameters of this process.Review from Kelly T

I had some fraud on my bank card and I have been a member for 38 years and it just so happens I have more money than usual in my account, I am told I cannot get a new debit card because of a charge off from my x husband in **** that I was a co borrower on that after 38 years and years of having a debit card that I can no longer have one! I had an anxiety attack! Then the supervisor comes over and tells me I have to deal with her anytime I come back in?Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

If you know what's good for you, steer clear of this cesspool of a "financial institution".Poor customer service, c*** rates, and incredibly *****. Hard to believe a "financial institution" could be ***** but it's true.I had an account with them in ****. Yep, 31 years ago. And I closed it for poor customer service.This past weekend, the finance officer at the car dealership worked up my new auto loan through RFCU. All good, and the rate wasn't bad. Then today I get a call saying RFCU has decided not to uphold this loan and were backing out due to me having a "previous history" with them.....THIRTY ONE years ago. I guess they thought their ***** stab would hurt me, but the loan was snapped up by a better institution in seconds, with a better rate, and saved me $37 a month on my payments. And honestly, it didn't even cost me any time out of my day, as I had to go back to the dealership to pick up my tag papers anyway. While there, I signed a few new documents to seal the deal with the better bank, and off I went.RFCU got ***** over an account I had 31 years ago, and they just lost my ****%, 72 month auto loan to a superior bank offering a rate of ****% at 48 months.Heck RFCU, you just did me a favor, so THANK YOU!Here's RFCU deciding they didn't like me because I closed an account with them 31 years ago in ****.********************************************************************************************************************************************************** If you're considering RFCU for anything at all, look around at all the other bad reviews, and realize this is one *****, vendictive brat of a "financial institution". Their customer service was horrible 31 years ago in ****, and it's still horrible today. They're a small "mom and pop" shop riding the military for Credit Union status with a footprint no larger than North *******. There have been hiccups, but, so far, they have positively addressed every incident. For example, both my wife and I recently received text messages, apparently from their customer service number, telling us our account was overdrawn. I had checked earlier that day and seen money in the account. A quick call and the issue was resolved. In fact, their message service started with "If you've recently received a text. . ."We did have an issue with not being able to receive additional checks for our existing account after our checks were running out. In person, my wife was told we could not get checks on the account that we had and that we would need to change to a different type of checking account. We had intentionally chosen the type of account we wanted/needed. I just haven't gotten around to changing it back, but I don't anticipate a problem. They took my credit card payment from my bank account and have on hold, preventing me from using card. Was told it was a random thing & will post in about 3 days. I paid & got confirmation # on 11/5/2022. Today I was told, 11/8/2022, it would be an additional 3 days to remove from holding pattern. Apparently this company doesn't understand the "Truth in Lending" act. This is a totally unfair practice to a supposed "loyal customer". Beware of this company that has poor business practices. The frustration you are experiencing with your credit card payments is associated with a fraud mitigation tool we have in place called Payment Defender. Payment Defender has many parameters and introduces either a 3 or 5-day payment float/hold based on these parameters (I can explain these to you in greater detail via phone call if you would like).
