Call another company! I had read reviews of this company on various web sites and thought it would be an honest, professional and reputable company. The reviews were all positive so we booked the move. But you need to know that this company will not allow you to write negative reviews after a claim is settled. So all these supposed great reviews are misleading because the moving company limits what you read about what goes wrong. It even asks customers to remove negative reviews. All reviews should be able to be posted, good or bad. Contracts were sent with different prices and its like a bait and switch. You will want to be sure you get a binding quote that doesn't increase in price after your furniture arrives. When the movers arrive with your furniture they will insist you sign additional pages added to the contract and won't move your furniture off the truck till the papers are signed. Why aren't these additional papers sent with the contract? Three parts of our irreplaceable dining room set were damaged-a glass tabletop was broken, a part of the wood dining room top was chipped down to raw wood and a chair leg was completely broken off. A coffee table had a sculpted piece piece broken off the base. ****** forms were completed. But good luck with claims! Our first concern was to remove the glass tabletop so we didn't get cut. But we were asked by claims to call to the people to schedule and fix the damage! We refused, it is their job, not ours to arrange to repair the furniture. We kept calling and emailing and asking to get the broken and jagged glass tabletop removed. At one point we were told to put piece of cardboard over the broken part! It took 12 days just to get the broken glass removed. After much back and forth two furniture repair companies said the dining room and living room furniture was not repairable. Then claims kept changing the way we were going to be compensated. Here's just one example. We were told we would be reimbursed by the pound for the broken coffee table. Per their contract, they said the coffee table weighed 84 lbs. ****** tried at first to use the end table weight as reimbursement at 34 lbs.. When she was sent the weight for the coffee table per their contract she didn't want to pay their contract weight price but our estimate. Then they need to reimburse us for overcharging for the weight of our furniture. It makes you wonder what else was overestimated to get more money for the move. When I asked about the glass tabletop reimbursement at $6 a pound they refused even though it says they will pay $6 a pound per their contract. So we were offered $195 instead of $432. ****** will argue, tell you they won't pay tax or delivery charges or installation charges for furniture they damaged. They will do anything to change reimbursement rules to suit them. They will fight not to pay a cent of the supposed $6 a pound for damages that's right on their contract. We expected our furniture would be well wrapped to avoid damage. I didn't have the furniture moved out the door with any defects and I certainly expected it to be moved to our new home in the condition they received it. Paying the workers a bonus to complete the jobs quicker might be why so much damage was done to our furniture. A bonus not to break furniture might be a much better idea. We have moved 3 times in the past two years. This was the worst company we have ever dealt with. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with a company whose practices are questionable and delivers broken furniture. Service: In-state move"Review from Tyese D

Either their quotes are misleading, flat out, fraudulent quote, or they don’t know math! To make matters worse, they ended up misassembling three different pieces of furniture, including our bed frame. They overcharged us based on what they put in the quote and the receipt we signed. They were completely unprofessional and exhibited very poor customer service. The disagreement over the invoice occurred before the charges were submitted. They told us that they would call us the next day to review the charges. They never called and two days later they submitted the charges without ever contacting us. In the meantime, we called them to discuss the discrepancies, and we could not get a manager to take our calls or call us back.Review from Jarred M

I used 2 College Brothers to help move my parents in August of 2020. We were concerned with COVID because of their health problems. The crew came out fully masked with gloves and proper social distancing. They had us sign the paperwork and they had their own hand sanitizer for us. They were very professional and polite and did the move much faster than anticipated. I would highly recommend using this company and we have already scheduled a future move with this excellent company. 10 starsReview from Joanne D

I regret not having checked this web site prior to signing a contract. The movers were 2 hours late in arrival. The original quote included 10 small boxes, 6 medium boxes and 3 large boxes. The acting manager for this move showed up with NOT 1 BOX! The move from storage to the new address, just less than 20 miles away was a much bigger disappointment. We received damaged furniture, and several missing items of serious value. We were told that a vault would be reserved for the contents of the truck and our furniture, etc. would be the only contents in that vault and it would be "impossible" for anything to get lost. But how could these items get lost: a large refrigerator, a large Asian rug, a made-to-order china cabinet and a cushion for patio chair that will be impossible to match to the existing cushions. These items were not on the truck. The next day, they did, however, deliver the refrigerator, Asian rug, and china cabinet but not the patio cushion. Also, an ottoman arrived quite dirty and will be difficult to clean. There were 2 items on the truck that were NOT ours. How could that happen if we had a vault dedicated only to our property? The movers tried, unsuccessfully, to contact the acting manager of the day, several times for several hours and he responded only once. This caused a delay of almost an hour for the movers to finish the move and leave the location. It will be impossible for me to recommend 2 College Brothers as a quality moving company. They are dishonest and unprincipled. We filed an insurance claim for over $1,200 for repairs and replacement of damaged property, as well as a lost patio cushion that cannot be replaced due to the fact that it would be impossible to match the existing cushions. They wanted to give us a grand total of $200.80, which included a whopping $1.20 for the irreplaceable patio cushion. A perfect insult to a horrible experience. We easily refused to accept the settlement or sign a release agreement . Part of their explanations were blatantly false as well as absurd. For classic absurdity, here's their explanation for damaged furniture: " Inherent Vice: There are distinct differences in damages caused by the Carrier as part of the moving process and damages that result from some innate characteristics of an item. The movement of wooden items will often produce damage. There can be a deterioration of the item due to the packing, strapping, padding and jostling which may occur in the normal course of transit. Hardware and/or molding may separate and/or become unglued. Joints may weaken and/or separate resulting in loss of rigidity. In these instances, these types of damages are not considered move related damages but rather inherent vice/ wherein Carrier is not held liable. " Best advice I could give is NEVER use 2 College Brothers Moving and Storage for your move.
