This company was contacted to pick up our deceased loved one from hospital, arrange for visitation and cremation. The person made an appointment with us for 1PM the next day. After waiting 25 minutes, Annadayle said she was unaware of appointment then found stickie note about appointment and said we never called back. I said, "we had an appointment at 1 PM, you never said I was supposed to call back". Then she blamed the hospital as they never called. I had given her the supervisor's name and direct phone number to contact the previous day. We paid for the services and urn and asked about prayer cards. She said when we came back, prayer cards could be done but it never happened. We got incomplete information about process which should have been provided upfront. First, we were told once death certificate received cremation occurs and by law the hospital has 3 days to sign death certificate. This changed to 3 days from when she gave them information and the final time she said, after signed, it goes to state and that can take few days. The cremains were sent overnight to another state. When they did not arrive, I called and she said she would investigate, when nothing happened for another 24 hours, I contacted USPS who said no investigation had been started. After I opened the investigation, we received the cremains in less than 24 hours which would have been at least one day sooner had AnnaDayle opened an investigation the day before as she said she would. The final thing that happened which was this funeral homes’ fault is that they did not send the urn that we purchased with the cremains. When we contacted AnnaDayle again, she apologized but said that she forgot and that there was no way she could get it to us by the funeral in 2 days. Death is a terrible time for all involved and my expectation of folks in the business of dealing with this is that they make it easier. My sister suffered much more due to poor customer service and lack of caring of this business.
