Over 200 business owners learned how to optimize their online presence at Local U

On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, Better Business Bureau of North Central Texas held its third annual Local University workshop at SMU-in-Plano. Over 140 attendees learned about different ways to use Google’s local products and other online marketing techniques to strengthen their online presence. With the help of sponsors Taco Casa, Patterson Honda, and Outback Pool and Spa, BBB was also able to host the same workshop with over 70 attendees at MSU in Wichita Falls on July 13, 2017.

These digital marketing techniques are essential for current business owners. They attract new customers while also continuing to engage with their existing followers. The workshop included several presentations from industry professionals like Beth Kahlich from The Tidings Company, Ed Reese, a marketing consultant, Aaron Weiche from GetFiveStars, Mary Bowling from Ignitor Digital, and Marissa Nordahl from Google.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to have one-on-one consultations and have their sites individually audited by marketing specialists from companies like 324 Creative Agency, Globe Runner, Bay Leaf Digital, Status26 Inc., D/FW Search Engine Marketing Association and Online Performance Marketing.
