My mechanic suggested I take my VW to the dealer to investigate a minor oil leak. I was told to leave it for several days so it could be checked periodically to ensure the work was complete. Hours after I dropped off the car, I was told SUCCESS, your car is fixed. They supposedly cleaned off everything, drove it around and no leak. Since I was told it would be several days, I was in the rental car, 100 miles away. Had to return to pay **** for the car and get the key. Now, I have two cars so it's going to need to stay in the dealership parking lot. Finally, I get the car four days later when I'm back in town. Take it home, park it in the garage on a clean sheet of cardboard and by morning, there's more oil on the ground then BEFORE I dropped off the car. So I call the dealership. Noone to talk to, so leave a message. Next business day and no response to my message, so again call the dealership. Noone to talk to, so leave a message. Next business day and no response to my message, so again call the dealership. Noone to talk to. When I ask for the service head honcho, I'm told he's out of state, but to leave a message for ****** this time. Ok. I leave a message. Next business day and no response to my message. Do we sense a pattern here? So at the end of the day, I drove to the dealership to get some help. ****** only remembers one of my messages (Yet didn't call? Real dedicated to the job, eh?) and challenges me on whether or not my car is leaking --- maybe the spot on the ground that I'm seeing is old - from before the repair. I finally get an appointment for the next week. Now it's two weeks later and, in the meantime, my car is still leaking oil every night. Next quote is $**** for the leak that they claimed to fix last time for $***. Needless to say, my car is not being repaired by Checkered Flag. It will never again be on the property. Even after complaining to management, nothing but excuses. What a waste of money and time!
