The Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York works to identify marketplace practices that are deceptive, misleading, unethical, or should be called into question. The purpose of BBB investigations is to help inform the public on what actions may be taken avoid fraud and protect against being victimized.

Do you have information about a deceptive business practice in New York City, Long Island, or the Mid-Hudson region? Tell us about it. Help Better Business Bureau investigate and warn others by reporting what you know to investigations@newyork.bbb.org

Please provide as much information as necessary to understand the scope of the problem. In order for us to conduct an inquiry, you must provide the following:

  1. The name of the business
  2. Any other contact information for the business that you have
  3. An explanation of the concern
