Wish I could give 0 star. Horrible customer service. They ignore the tickets opened by organizers.. Problems stay unsolved. All they want is your money.

The pitch is that you get "up to 3 groups for $35" then when you sign up they charge you $35 per group. Then they say to navigate to the organizer subscription page in order to cancel, but there is no cancellation option. I have sent multiple emails attempting to cancel. And they have tried to bill my card multiple times during my cancellation efforts. It's totally set up like a scam. The way they do business is absolutely unacceptable.

I had a lawyer who worked for them tell me that they were in bed with the corrupt terror group known as the **** Every experience I've had with them confirms that he was giving me good information. This organization is being used to illegally target anyone who the *** or (in ****** CSIS) wants to hurt. This includes victims of the still running MK-Ultra program. This includes human and civil rights activists. This includes anyone who is involved with or helping the ************************ to provide mental health supports. Basically anyone who is actually doing good things for humanity is being targeted by the Meetup corporation and its affiliates. The Meetup groups are dangerous to human survival and should be shut down with their employees put in prison.

I just found out that my account has been closed due to "inappropriate behavior," reported in the past. I'm a gentleman, and behave as such. I had opened another meetup.com account with another email address, because I'm interested in meeting people with similar interests I believe 2 years ago without any "problems." There is nothing wrong with "my behavior," in fact, I started my own group this past year and had several members. I read the ** Times every morning, have genuine social and environmental concerns, and conduct myself in an amicable manner, I can't help people who complaint about me for some reason, nor can I account for their pettiness. I have no criminal record and have an "exceptional" credit rating at over 800 with Experian. This is disturbing, though I shouldn't be surprised. Apparently their decision is "final," and I have no way to appeal it.It's not my behavior that I believe should be called into question, rather those who "point the finger," and can do so without accountability for it... I do know that when I did have a paid subscription with Meetup.com and had canceled it, my money wasn't immediately refunded and that I had to appeal to them via email several times. I'm not at all surprised by their "F" Customer Review Rating... Frankly I'd pit my character aside any member of their staff and certainly aside those who have accused me falsely of "inappropriate behavior," I've done nothing untoward to anyone, and I resent such accusations.

After cancellation they keep credit card on file and keep billing months later for service already cancelled.

****, group leader of ***** ******* of **, has “banned” me. When I asked why, he replied “sue me”. I am a state licensed professional & solid citizen. This incident has been humiliating & publicly degrading.

I have been with meet up, paying yearly fees for 11 years plus. There is no one in customer service. My numerous members are telling me that they are not receiving my emails. Can you please help me to resolve this asap?

Our group has been operating for 10 years now and the MeetUp website has gotten worse, year by year. We have new members submitting dues and we are not seeing this being transferred into our account. When we try to get a written statement on the transactions, they refuse to answer our questions unless the Organizer contacts them directly. We have an organizer who is doing nothing about this lack of funds being deposited into our account. I am part of the Steering Committee and cannot get any straight answers about this situation. We are not sure that they are absconding with our money. It is detrimentally affecting our group events without those funds. Their communication is poor, at best. They continue to skate around the issues we bring up. The lack of phone support is abhorrent. When they changed the money monitoring account to ******, we have had an even worse experience. I wish there was another website where we could do our business with more transparency and greater results.
