Despite my best efforts to communicate and cooperate, I have encountered significant issues that warrant immediate attention from Douglas Elliman.I submitted my application, along with all necessary documents and checks, just three days after the address was sent. There was an error in the lease start date, which I identified and requested to be rectified before making the payment. This coincided with a prolonged weekend due to MLK day, and despite the ***** website indicating that the checks were "Delivered," Elliman team has struggled to locate them. In response, I was informed that they intend to proceed with another application, alleging a delay on my part. I want to emphasize that three days is a relatively short timeframe, and my response time has been prompt.Unfortunately, the checks appear to have been misplaced. Despite my suggestion to send new checks via overnight delivery, I have not received any response from the assigned representative, ****************************** add to the frustration, the checks were found right after they accepted another offer, raising serious concerns about the handling of my application.The absence of effective communication, mishandling of documents, and the subsequent acceptance of another offer have led to an untenable situation. Consequently, I find it necessary to elevate this matter by filing a formal complaint and considering seeking legal advice or pursuing legal action.I implore Douglas Elliman to address this complaint promptly and rectify the issues at hand. The lack of professionalism and responsiveness in handling my application is not only disheartening but also detrimental to my plans of securing a residence. I want my application money, checks and fee for depositing the checks from the company.
