Sent in a set of older binoculars for a simple cleaning and service. They sent me a new pair that is cheaper than what I paid 20+ years ago. Smaller field of view, brighter by their chart but not in reality. Not nearly as comfortable as the old ones and will not respond when told I am not satisfied with the replacement. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. Really deserve a zero rating.Review from Ilker A

I purchased Nikon Z8 from the official Nikon website in May 2023.However, after it was announced that some of Z8 cameras, including mine, have lens locking mechanism problems.After that in August they announced that some of Z8 cameras, including mine, have also strap problems.Because my Z8 camera has two different effects, I contacted Nikon and asked for replacemnet or refund. However the only solution they offered me free repair. I do not want repair. I paid $5.500+tax for this camera and I believe I deserve a defect-free camera.I don't accept their free repair offer and I want to return it.Review from Von H

I tried to purchase a Nikon Z8 from the NikonUSA site twice but my order was canceled. On my second cancelled order I sent in a trade in which was lost for about two days. Initially Nikon found my trade in camera. I asked to have it returned on 6/8/23. I have spoken to an agent every other day to resolve issue. Emails say they are escalating issue. Claim they are waiting on a response from the warehouse.I asked the agent whether there was any other means of escalating this issue they said no at this time. Nikon has my camera worth $700 in limbo. I stated to agent I can send a letter faster than the responses I'm receiving on this complaint. By the way I am a NPS member and this is deplorable customer service.Nikon Inc. Response

A few years back I purchased a Nikon D750 camera, new, 6 Nikon FX lenses and every assorted piece of equipment they sell that would work with them or the camera. I was told when purchasing that mine was of a later model and not susceptible to the shutter failure problem reported with the earlier models. At less than half the shutter life, mine failed, with the dreaded "ERR" message displayed on the **** I was told to ship the camera to the Nikon's ******** ****************** in ** for servicing. Upon inspection I was told the shutter had indeed failed / broken (shocker) and needed replacing. They said the camera was out of warranty, was too new to fall under the previous broken shutter recall, (shocker) and cost me $350.00 to replace the entire shutter mechanism. I received the camera back some weeks later after contacting Nikon asking where my camera was. Fast forward two years and the new / replacement shutter appears to have failed or broken again. The new replacement shutter is at less than 40% of the advertised shutter actuations limit or life, in other words prematurely failed, just like the original. The shutter failure problem continues yet Nikon fails to acknowledge, however are happy to continue replacing the shutter at your cost. Return my Rifle Scope to Nikon for Warranty repair in September of 2022. ************ said there not able to repair it. Offered me $429.00. Repair #*******. Its been 6 months. Not only do they have my property { old scope] , NOW they won't pay me for a new one. Why would anybody purchase a product from this company!Nikon Inc. Response

I purchased a refurbished Nikon camera and lens online that comes with a 90-day warranty. I was charged shipping and handling though the website states free shipping for orders over $399, which should have included my order. The viewfinder was blurry upon receipt. I called customer service and after a series of resetting the computer, was told to ship the camera back for warranty service. I shipped camera back overnight, called next day and after a lengthy hold, the customer service rep told me they received my camera, and it would take a couple days to process the order and I should check my email for a service ticket number. After 4 days I called and was told it would be a couple more days. The next time I logged in and uploaded copies of purchase, tracking proof of delivery of camera and warranty. I continued to call and was told a couple more days. On day 14 I received an email that they were shipping me a new camera with tracking #. However, the tracking number led to someone else in a different state. **************** told me to ignore that ticket because it was a mistake and someone else had a name almost like mine and it was mixed up. At this point they placed a search ticket to find my camera. After 20 days they posted that the service **** resolved issue processing my camera. On the 21st day I received the warranty repair ticket. I still do not have any estimate of when it will be fixed. I began to ask for a refund or exchange on day 14, with response they would need to talk with their supervisor, but no response from supervisor. Nikon received the camera returned for warranty service 10 days from time of my order placed- so clearly falls within their return guidelines. I had been a Nikon customer for over 30 years. I should have read these reviews first. Nikon offered nothing to help keep me as a customer. The only positive I can say is the reps were nice and friendly, just not helpful is finding a resolution.Review from Sinjin K

Horrible customer service. I made an order late at night and by morning I decided I want to cancel 2 of the 6 items ordered. When I called, I was told all orders made over 30 mins prior can't be canceled. The package arrived and I called to get the *** code for authorization to return items (3 times I called) It has been 2 weeks and Nikon is now saying because the order was delivered in excess of 14 days, they can't authorize a return!They've lost my business forever. I ordered a camera directly from Nikon with 2 day shipping in order to have it for a trip a week later. I took off of work to be available to sign for the package. I was alerted that my package was delivered but *** did not come to the door to request my signature nor was the package at my home. *** tracking indicated that the package was delivered to an address 27 miles away. I filed a claim with *** within 45 minutes of the delivery email. I also contacted Nikon support and was told they would escalate. They followed the phone call up with "Your question has been answered" email. I did not hear anything back for two days and replied back to their email for an update. Nikon responded again with a "Your question has been answered" email advising that there was a *** investigation and that could take up to 8 business days. The sender is ultimately responsible for the order until I receive it. They know where the package was delivered and once *** finishes the investigation, the package will be sent back to Nikon who will then ship it again to me. I asked Nikon to send me another camera while they work it out with ***. They refused. I asked them to cancel the order - they can't until *** responds. They have my money and I have no camera for my trip. I really wanted a Nikon but if this represents the level of service I will receive I will look at another brand. I have to leave at least one start to post this review, otherwise, it would be zero.Review from Steve S

Nikon loyalist for over 40 yearsNow for the first time having to deal with Nikon support via NPS, I find myself in total discuss on the quality of service.Answers are from technical analysts that have not really opened or understood the manual it appears Nor have any understanding of the product features.Can this be due to layoffs and Nikon moving its direction to other industries due to their losses in the imaging division? You can see evidence of this in the promotion of the ** support VP to an additional senior VP position in ***** while still owning ** support. I redesigned the support system for the most critical enterprise software company at its most crucial support crisis. Thus, I understand the system we are experiencingStay away from Nikon currently. Marketing is driving developers beyond their ability to create solid products via the timeline driven by marketing and financial decline in their division. I have lived this as a developer and driven this regrettably in my past as well.Corporate money / marketing tries to buy your decision on nearly every purchase. Nikon backed into a corner is now using this tactic rather than their history of delivering solid products.This is the last Nikon product I will purchase.Keep the passion!Review from TAKIYAH L

I ordered the Nikon Z 6 24-70mm Lens Kit on May 13th, 2021 as a birthday present for my niece. The camera was on backorder but I was notified on May 18th that it was back in stock and was going to be shipped with an estimated time of delivery being May 20th, 2021. After tracking my order (see attached PDF) it showed that the camera made it to the *** processing center and was returned to sender on May 24th, 2021 - - the camera never made it to me. I contacted customer service this morning and was told that it was returned because no one was home to sign for the package. I explained that the *** tracking shows that it never made it to my home. After looking at the *** tracking the customer service representative informed me that he was going to escalate the case and I would receive an email within 24 -48 hours. I received an email at 4:26 pm today stating the following "Sorry to get back to you so soon. We would like to let you know that there was an issue with shipping that has happened for some mysterious reason. We recommend placing the order again on our online store. Let us know if you have any other questions." I spent a total of $2,177.45! Please note I was not credited for the camera but I'm being advised to order the item again. There was no sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. No assistance with reordering the item. No information about crediting my account. NOTHING. I then called to find out about being refunded. The customer service representative first told me that the item may not have arrived or been checked in yet. I asked him to please check. After checking he finds that the item did arrive yesterday. He informed me that he could not offer me a refund and that I would have to wait until after the item is cleared and checked first. I told him that even if the item is broken or shattered, it holds no grounds on my refund because the camera was never delivered to me. He then tells me the manager at the site probably left for the day and that I would have to wait until tomorrow morning to hear back about my refund request. I purposely ordered the camera directly from Nikon assuming that more care and accuracy would be taken with my order. This is simply unacceptable and despicable service for a company that I once held at the highest regard.
