I HAD FALLEN AFTER LEAVING A LAUNCH ON A TOUR IN *****. I CHOSE TO BE TREATED ON THE GRANDEUR BECAUSE I HAD MORE CONFIDENCE IN THE CRUISE LINE. WHAT I DIDNT KNOW WAS THAT THEY DIDNT ACCEPT INSURANCE .THEREFORE I HAD TO PAY FOR THE SERVICES I RECEIVED. THE MEDICAL STAFF DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF TREATING MY WOUNDS AND THEY PREPARED ALL MY PAPERWORK FOR MY CLAIM TO BE FILED. WHEN I WAS GIVEN THE ***** I ALMOST WENT INTO SHOCK BECAUSE IT WAS ALMOST 1300.00.WHICH I PAID WITH MY CREDIT CARD. THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION-- THE *** AFTER I GOT HOME I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND FAXED THEM THE PAPERWORK. IT TOOK 3 MONTHS TO GET PAID BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HAD BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AON AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDNT DO ANYTHING UNTIL I SENT THEM THE PAPERWORK FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY SO THEY COULD SEE WHAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY DIDNT COVER. 10 ***S AFTER *** HAD RECEIVED MY PAPERWORK, A CHECK FOR EVERYTHING MY INSURANCE COMPANY DIDNT COVER WAS DIRECT DEPOSITED TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. I WAS FLABBERGASTED. IN MY OPINION, *** KEPT THEIR PROMISE AND TIMELY PAID ME THE CORRECT AMOUNT WITH NO DEDUCTIONS. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE NOW I KNOW HOW THE PROCESS WORKS AND I WILL HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN TRIP INSURANCE. REMEMBER THIS-- PRICE IS NOT EVERY THING-SERVICE IS MORE IMPORTANT AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH AON. ********** DIRECTORReview from Carolyn K

One piece of luggage was not on the carousel at the ******************. I replaced some of the contents and on our last day in ******* I then made an 8-hour round trip to retrieve the piece of luggage from the airport in ***, ******* before our departure the next day from **********. While I was not reimbursed for my total expenses, I did receive, in a timely manner, what I understand was the policy limit of $250 for delayed luggage.Review from Diana F

Settlement with ANON was completed within one week of filing our claim and money was electronically transferred to our bank accounts. Talked with helpful reps on two occasions. Electronic submission of claim forms was easy and simplified the claim process.Review from Geraldine M

We always purchase cancellation insurance before we travel on a big trip and have never had to claim. Our two week cruise had to be canceled due to a month long illness that my husband had in February. His coughing was so bad I'm sure someone at the airport would have complained and not wanted us on the flight. The coughing went on day and night. The cruise itself was impossible as he slept for almost the whole month sitting in his lazy boy chair. Nothing would be worse than not being home when I'll. Again a complaint about coughing would have put us in quarantine on the ship. This insurance company completed our claim in a very timely manner. We are very happy with this service and we will be very happy to work with them in the future. Book your trip with a travel agent, we did and take their advise.Review from Carolyn H

I had an issue on ********** that made me seek care at the medical facility on board. When we got home, I filed a claim online with AON. The instructions were easy to follow and to complete, and the timeline was directly related to having to file with my regular medical insurance first and receive an official notice that my claim wasn't covered. Once I uploaded that documentation, *** quickly notified me that they had approved my claim, and they offered several methods for obtaining reimbursement. I chose to have the payment deposited directly into my checking account. So I am very satisfied with the coverage and with the process for getting reimbursed for expenses.Review from Jerry M

We were forced to cancel our cruise as my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy 16 days before our scheduled departure. We monitored her wellness both physically and emotionally and along with her physicians decided that considering she still had drains that needed to be regularly emptied as well as other pain and discomfort that going on a cruise would be irresponsible and unenjoyable, if not impossible. This was a promotional cruise so our exposure (or AON's exposure) was minimal, amounting to $400 or less but we filed the claim.So often, we buy insurance products but are blessed with not having to ever find out how the company performs. Here is a case where we learned.We filed a claim with AON and were directed via their website (they will never actually have anyone talk with you) to have the physician fill out the Physician's statement and forward it back to them. The surgeon did so and we returned it to AON. After a couple of weeks of hearing nothing I followed up with AON via email, and was told they requested more information from the physician. After a subsequent email to AON, I was told they were waiting for ALL notes and records from the physician. This company has absolutely no compassion or concern for anyone who buys their crappy policies, and we're lucky to have less at stake than most would and thank God we didn't have their coverage for an on board medical emergency.It is inconcievable that for a lousy $400 claim that they would make such unreasonable requests just to stall a claim. Really, a physician's "notes"?Like a Cancer surgeon doesn't have better things to do than to supply mountains of docuumentation for a lousy $400 travel insurance claim. The phhysician already verified the procedure was done and my wife was incapacitated. This ccompany makes me sick. Don't EVER buy a policy from these guys. When you need it it's not there. We're approaching 2 months on this claim.Review from Mary S

The representative I worked with was excellent! I provided my policy number, explained my situation, which was covered under my policy. Provided the documentation required. Within three weeks my claim was settled and monies reimbursed.Review from Robert Y

I purchased cruise protection thru *** for my Norwegian cruise. My wives brother, wife, and his wives sister were cruising with us. He had a diagnosis that required surgery that was needed before the cruise. We all had *** insurance and filed claims for refund. I performed my claim on the internet and it was simple. I filled in my appropriate information, was able to upload the supporting documents electronically, and submitted. We were approved within a few working days and I received an e-mail stating my refund with directions and options for receiving our refund. I elected an electronic payment and the *** portion was received within 3 days. The *** portion of my payment was refunded by *** prior to submitting my claim. Overall, I paid for my cruise, cancelled my cruise six weeks before embarking, and received a full refund. *** support was only a phone call away to provide assistance if I had any questions on the process.Review from Richard H
