Eden General Construction ***** was contracted by ***********************************., to replace the entire main and lower roofs of our business.The work began on Monday, May 16, 2022. On Wednesday, May 18, 2022 there was a severe rain storm. We arrived to work to find our building severely damaged due to rain. The roof was not properly covered prior to the end of work on Wednesday. Eden ********************** Contruction ***** was contacted about the water damage. The Job Supervisor, ***********************, informed us that the roof was not properly covered and that it would be corrected. Within the next few days, we experience additional rain storms and additional water damages.On Friday, May 27, 2022, we met with the owner, ********************* and ***********************, regarding a resolution for the damages caused by the negligence and the projected completion of the roofs. We were informed that they would return a portion of our deposit of $25,960.00. Upon discovery of the water damages on May 19, 2022, we contacted our ***************** The **********************, to access the damages to our premises. The assessment of the damages to our buiding and its contents is approximately $218,000.00.On or about June 27, 2022, Eden ********************** Contruction ***** sent to ***********************************., a full and final release of all claims form where upon signing of the release we would be refunded $25,000.00. We did not sign their release form. We had to secure another *************** to complete the work. We are requesting assistance from the Better Business Bureau regarding the return of our deposit and compensation for the damages sustained to our business.
