Greenlight Energy is a scam. Do not do business with them. They claim their rates are lower but they are not. They are 3 times the cost of RG&E (ie. 18 cents per KWH versus 6 cents per KWH). Shame on me for not paying attention to my bill sooner and researching the situation. Their website is misleading - offering 10 cents per KWH for only the first month. They are price gouging and taking advantage of consumers.

Customer contacted company directly and resolved the matter. No scam or false claims, just confusion which was cleared up. Thanks.

I found out yesterday when I looked at my bge bill onlne that greenlight energy was my energy supplier. I never signed up to them nor did I give them my consent. I've never heard of them in my life. How were they able to switch me over to them without my consent. Plus I noticed my bill is alot higher now almost double. I am so mad because I did not authorize this! I will be calling them first thing Monday morning and demand that they cancel the illegal contract they have me signed up to.

I never switched to this **mpany and got a call from them asking me to verify my address for free surveillance cameras that I never asked for. They said, oh weve been advertising all over ** as an answer to why theyre sending me this. SoI call my electric **mpany and get told that this was a tactic they use to gain authorization to switch my supplier. They were trying to get my customer ID number and address to do so.They didnt disclose that this was what they were doingonly that they needed to verify that they had the **rrect address to send this stuff and thank me for being with my electric **.She even got miffed that I told her Id be speaking with my electric ** first to make sure this wasnt fraudulent.WE ARE ALL OVER ******** SOOOOOOO I **uldnt care less! Scam tactics from the start and from what Ive read here, it never ends.Dont fall for this people!!!

Hello, This is not a scam or a tactic, it's just one of the incentives of joining a third party supplier. Part of the offer was a lower intro rate. You submitted your information online and this was the reason for the call but since you were no longer interested, you were not enrolled. To be clear, *** NEVER EVER asked for nor submitted my interest for ANYTHING for this **mpany. They called me from the blue and wouldnt verify how theyd got my number nor information. AgainSCAM SCAM SCAM!! They said they wanted me to verify my address for free cameras and pretty much let me know it was from my electric ** (which prompted me to call & verify with them). What makes this a SCAM isnt the legitimacy of the **mpany but the tactic they use to lure unsuspecting victims into their **ntracts. Beware!!!

They call you and give you a slightly lower rate for a few months to a year. During this time you save about 3 to7 dollars a month **** Almost all consumers will forget to renew their contract and will see a sharp jump in their ****. This increase will wipe off one year's worth of savings. Most will not realize what happened till 3 months of overpayments. This is how they make money. Not happy with this approach border line scam tectic. For making a sale you will get calls but when your contract is about to expire you will not get any calls or reminders. If you call their customer support number very hard to get hold of someone and you cannot leave a voicemail as their voicemail is always full.

Looks like you enrolled in our Price To Compare intro rate offer September 2021 and agreed to a rate lower than the utility price for a term of 3 months. We reached out via mail/email to notify the rate was expiring but we received no response. Our customer service team has tried to contact you by phone about further resolving but attempts have gone unanswered. The account has been canceled and no termination fee's have been charged. My Dad, *********************** is a senior citizen. I ************************* take care of his financial stuff. I have canceled this supplier off of Dad's **** **** about 4 times now. Greenlight Energy stated that they will remove the phone number, but to date this has not been done. I would like to let all know that this companies rates are higher than *** Rates. They are sneaky in getting a person who does not understand what the call is about to answer questions and then when the *** **** comes in there is Greenlight Energy as the supplier. Greenlight Energy never sends any information or any type of contract. Do not deal with Greenlight Energy! This company is a major scam!

She told me that the service would be canceled immediately. I also explained to ******* as the service has been canceled in the paste; my Dad would receive another call from them and bullied in to getting the service. It seems that their is no record of this happening. Once again someone from Greenlight called again. I then explained to them again that Dad is on the DO NOT CALL list and also that is number is unlisted; not to call anymore!
