A&A was engaged and paid in full for a renovation that began in 2014. The contractor made errors and in 2015 A&A was paid $3,800.00 to amend the applications for these items. Due to the project manager's removal from the job everything came to a standstill including the architect's sign-off as we could get neither the contractor nor A&A to return our calls. In 2020 we were able to have a conversation with A&A who agreed to assist with the applications to reinstate the now expired permits so the sign-offs could be done and the certificate of occupancy and final plumbing inspections could be performed. In 2020 A&A was paid an additional $5,000.00 for this work. In 2021 the *** inspection unearthed the contractor errors that were not corrected by the architect in the plan amendment and errors in the placement of windows on the first floor where no work was done and is simply an error on the initial plan. The final plumbing inspection conducted in July 2021 showed that the original plans had some incorrect plumbing connections. It took us six months to stumble upon the plumbing inspectors comments on *** BIS as the receptionist said A&A would not amend the plan since the plan examiner needs to be able to see the plumbing comments. This document was sent to A&A on January 4, 2022 and we have been unsuccessful in getting any information from A&A. Emails have gone answered and phone calls are met with I have given the information to the architect. Since last week the receptionist has been unavailable and I have left messages with what appears to be an answering service. The difficulty in reaching someone at A&A has resulted in this matter lasting more than one year since A&A was last paid in the latter part of 2020. All we need is for A&A to amend the plans to indicate the items which were excluded from the amendment A&A was paid to do in 2015 and correct the errors made by A&A on the initial plans and which are unrelated to the renovation.
