******** Santa Fe Valet (827 Camino de Monte Rey Santa Fe, NM 87505) transported their clients to my property (** **** ******* ***** ********** ** *****) in a 24 person passenger bus. Their clients were customers of ********* ********** who host ******** tours here. Peter is the owner and manages his customers including detailed directions and has for 16 years without a single tour incident of any kind. Peter opens and closes the security gate for each of his tours. It's a double "ranch" gate, each gate is 12' wide, but one side is fixed and would only be opened if a large vehicle was expected to come through. In the past we've had 24 passenger buses, full size tour buses and everything smaller than that. Typical cars, vans, full sized pick ups, camper vans and the like can easily pass through with one 12' gate open. ******** the Santa Fe Valet driver, Zack, attempted to enter the gate and damaged beyond repair the fixed side. Peter was not expecting a 24 passenger bus or he wold have opened both sides. His first knowledge of a problem was when he heard repeated back up signals and walked to the gate to see what was wrong. Zack replied, "we have insurance; it happens all the time." Peter texted this to me that evening. Starting 10-18 I called SF Valet and JD said he would pass the info about the gate to the manager. I sent email with pictures of the damage attached. I heard nothing by 10-21 at which time I called again. I received email from Paul ********, the owner, who told me he would have to inspect the damage himself and he was a very busy man. He put me off as unavailable until 10-26. He also claimed Zack had asked for the other gate to be opened and was denied his request. Peter, nor I, got such a request. I have asked for who Zack asked and have not gotten an answer. Paul said he does not want to go through his insurance; he was not coming on 10-26 now saying I am as much as fault as his driver as "someone" would not open the gate. He offered $250.
