Additional Information
  • BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado has received phone calls from New Mexico businesses reporting that they have received an official looking document via mail that says “2013 – Annual Minutes Form” asking the recipient to complete the form and return it to Corporate Records Service with a check or money order in the amount of $125. The mailer further cites New Mexico Statutes pertaining to requirement of corporations to keep correct and complete accounts of the minutes of their annual shareholder’s meeting. Consumers feel the mailer is deceptive, as it appears “official and required”. BBB cautions businesses in completing the form and sending $125 to Corporate Records Service, as the company is not a government agency, and the address listed on the mailer, 223 N Guadalupe #193 in Santa Fe, is that of a commercial mail receiving agency and not the physical address of the company. Although New Mexico corporations are required to file certain annual reports, this can be done online for a nominal fee. Additional information can be found by contacting the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, Corporations Bureau.
