Washer and dryer has been broken since we moved into our property. Landlords say theres a clause in the lease stating it isnt their responsibility to replace it. we get a lawyer to review the lease and write them a letter and suddenly theyre down to cover the cost. The person sent to do an evaluation determines its broken. Been waiting for over a year because owners are still looking for options as to how to replace it.Review from Jennifer W

Im a resident of ************* managed (poorly) by MEB Property Management . This business unfortunately is NOT a member of the Better Business Bureau. No surprise. I dont think they meet the minimum requirements. They have a one out of five star review online. In my opinion they dont even deserve that. For anyone thinking of renting ANY MEB properties be warned. That said I have been forced to live in an apartment with smoke passing from my upstairs neighbors apartment. This happens with all doors and windows in both apartments shut. Normally this would not be possible if the proper barriers were in place. Therefore there is negligence on the part of the owners/management to take care of this. I have a hole in my ceiling from previous water damage from tenants above overflowing the tub or sink in the bathroom. This has been reported for weeks to management and documented. Supposedly the property is going to fix this but it has not happened yet after several days. Providing a way for smoke to enter from above. Smoke and water have entered my bathroom around the light fixture. It doesnt take a genius to know that electricity and water dont mix and are very hazardous. I have welcomed management staff in to see and smell and hear the issues at hand. They declined. Im DISABLED and have been prescribed OXYGEN. This fact has been explained multiple times to management. This issue and the nuisance of excessive barking from the dog that belongs to the nuisance resident above me. Ive had to call Animal Welfare out to try to get this behavior to stop to no avail. The saga continues. Ive called police, fire and government agencies to help with this. No luck Perhaps my call to local investigative reporter at local news station will pick this public interest story up. At least I can alert others to these issues. MEB is a huge property management company with many properties in NM and AZ.Review from Cathy S

Real property application fees are higher than anybody elses. And they took application fees and use them despite the fact that not all of the applications have been put into process. You needed to have three times the income and my application. The loan did not qualify for that sum of income. They did not wait for my sons to do their applications before they took money out of my account. That wouldve qualified us for three times the income. My objection is if I didnt qualify on my own why did you remove my money from my account instead of waiting to see if I qualified with my children. I requested my refund back under those circumstances, and they refused to refund me at ********************************* told me he had spoken with his supervisor and that they would refund my money and now hes calling me a liar, saying he did not tell me that I find this company to be unfair in their business dealings and not truthful. I was called a liar by ****************, and he never told me that I do not lie. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are not truthful. And there demand for application fees are unfair and predatory.Review from Anita J

Well I'm a tenant, and I have noticed that they will purposely mess things up or leave them unfinished. What I see is that they try to get it in such disrepair to where it's nothing but a money pit, and then lowball the owner. That might be a little too bold?... Just a speculation.Review from Sonia M

My last review which had pictures and I was very detailed. I was contacted by RPM-A to remove my last post because RPMA was my new property management and my last post was to RPM-Enterprise but to be honest here they are all the same. S**** 1. I was promised an inspector to review my house based on my last review. This was to build a brand new good relationship with RPMA since they was my new property management. RPMA took over March 1 we are now in July. No inspector! 2. My AC gave out and i called the emergency maintenance # at 2am and the man on the line said Yes we will get that fix he never put any notes in the system. I called again at 8am. The 2nd representative made me create a ticket online while I was on the phone with him. Never in my life had that happened. I have emails, call recordings, and text to prove it. I called again at night and left a message. Its now day two and no one has came to get my AC fixed. I have 2 small kids and 3 dogs. Its hot here. I dont know any emergency maintenance request that takes 2 days. Isnt there 24 hr AC companies?Review from Rachel A

Maybe I can get a response here. The security gate breach email was sent to RPM about a month ago. The **** request was also sent about the gate issue. This guy keeps lurking and peeing around our building that only women live in. He has the code because a 'bad choice' made by a neighbor. We cannot get a call back or email response. This dude is literally standing behind a car looking at me in a stare down! My next step is a concealed carry permit at this point. I am done being scared and paying for it! I will give this path a week before I find another review site.Signed, **************Review from Anne B

Let me just start out by saying.... that every one of RPMs responses to these posted reviews are typical of their "appease and make them go away" attitude. I am one of the fortunate ones I guess. I lived in the home from August through May before my complaints and an Notice of Abatement got the owners attention. Obviously the owner of this rental and RPM were having just as many problems as I was as a tenant.. During those 10 months with RPM, I had an electrical breaker issue that was ongoing. I'm still having electrical breaker issues. When sending in a "Meld" their repair notification system, they often would just delay and give me excuses as to why it is not being fixed. At one point on December 19th, our electricity was not working in over 2/3 of the home. RPM responded by telling us to use extension cords. We did, by no choice of our own.... we used extension cords for over two weeks, even during the Holidays. It wasn't until I submitted a Notice of Abatement that they finally sent someone over. Their "electrician"( and I use that term loosely) came on January 1st at 8:00 a.m, to fix our electrical system. It worked for a couple of weeks. I had to call them in again May 2, because the Swamp Cooler had been scheduled to be turned on and no one showed up. They couldn't get it working so I went 3 weeks of ***** degree temps inside until I submitted another Notice of Abatement on May 20th. The owners of my rental and RPM finally dissolved their relationship at that time. The owners immediately got someone in from TLC to fix the Swamp Cooler and had it working within 10 minutes. The professional from TLC reported that the swamp cooler just needed the belt to be placed on the unit and it needed to be plugged it. DUHHHH!!! I have submitted 16 MELDs, and the problems still remains. The owners have been charged for things that RPM didn't even do and have reported that there was hardly ever a month where they received ANY RENT due to RPM's charges.Review from MG

These people are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. I've been calling, emailing and calling some more. They never respond to messages that were left via phone or email. It's unbelievable. This company is a joke, I don't understand how anyone can conduct business like this.Real Property Management Albuquerque Response

Do not rent from RPM! You will not get back your security deposit! Your lease will state that you accept “as is” but when you move out they will make upgrades to the unit and charge you for it! If you try and dispute anything you were charged for you are met with their unprofessional customer service who just say “your account is closed there is nothing else that can be done”! They say we have pictures of the damage but when you ask to see them their response “were not required to send you pictures”. You don’t want to send pictures because you know the “damage” I was charged for doesn’t exist! This company is crooked and will charge the tenant and homeowner for repairs that were never completed! RPMs response when you call them out on repairs that were never done is to just hang up on you! Save yourself the headache and find a different company to rent from. If you are a homeowner do not use RPM to manage your property.
