WORST COMPANY EVER . RUN FAR AWAY . THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ***** AND THEY LIE LIE LIE!! ******** THREATENED ME WITH A $4995 bill IF I DIDN'T CHANGE MY BBB REVIEW AFTER THEY DID NOT HONOR CONTRACT AND CHARGED ME CONTINUOUSLY AFTER THE DATE ON CONTRACT HADN'T STARTED . ******** TOLD ME I WOULD BE REFUNDED AND SWORE HE DIDNT KNOW WHY I WAS BEING CHARGED AND THEN NEVER REPLIED OR GOT MY REFUND . NOW MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DIABLES FOR NO REASON . NO NOTICE . NO EMAIL. NOTHING . THEY ARE BAD BUSINESS . USE ****** **** ! DONT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU. STAY FAR AWAY FROM LAVU OR ANY POS SYSTEM PUSHING YOUR BUSINESS TO PUT THE **** ON THE CUSTOMER! This was the WORST experience of my entire life...I'm 45!?! We signed up thinking, cool...the customer can absorb the transaction fee. WRONG! That's how they entice you! That is perfectly illegal! We signed a contract with Lavu not knowing (because they lack transparency in this area) they use a 3rd party for credit card processing called CardPointe. This 3rd party does not advise you there is a monthly service fee AND a monthly service charge (varying in amounts) nor do they advise you're charged this whether you use them to process cc transactions or not. We got the systems on or around the 3rd week of August and weren't able to use anything because 1. the menu was wrong (they said it was uploaded but it was some generic menu) 2. the printer wouldn't connect to the iPads 3. they sent us the wrong kitchen printer because we are a food truck, we needed wireless. Once we were FINALLY able to use the system (1 printer only though) the tips portion was too daunting for our customers. The next day the printer wouldn't even connect so we had to use a ticketing system AGAIN! This company bamboozled us. Please learn from our mistake and steer clear from Lavu. Their customer service is horrible, what should take **** minutes (we are very tech savvy) takes an hour! They are wanting to charge us $500 from CardPointe for early termination without even giving you the knowledge that they use a 3rd party upfront. And they want $3460.27 from us because since day 1 we have been dissatisfied and have had issues using their software and want to send it all back and cancel...KNOWING WE SIGNED NOT EVEN 24 DAYS AGO!?!?! I don't see how this is legal, we are getting counsel.Review from Janie R

One of the WORST POS Systems I would Never use or recommend. We used system for a weekend and was a disaster and we had no help. We called the after-hours number and let me tell you they were a JOKE! Then, our tips adjustments and all the transactions made for that weekend were never deposit. Well then, we find out that they didn't have next day deposit after they mentioned yes, we will have next day deposit. So, after all this I decided to cancel after that crazy bad experience we had. Well, they said they will help with canceling but that we had a contract we were dealing with but that they will help after everything we had gone through and that they will work into sending us the $ they owe us, granted when they first sent all the equipment they sent it to wrong address but then the kept saying no one was ever at that address to receive well yup I realized they had wrong address. When I spoke to them, they mentioned that they will be sending the return boxes and again total lies!! Here we are another month making it 3months later and they still give us run arounds and no one wants to return emails back or any calls. Today, we received an email from an attorney stating we owe LAVU money, REALLY???? How dare do they do that when I have prove of all the $$ they owe me. Then to top it off the bank ********** **** Has been taking $$ from our business account when we don't do business with them unauthorized transactions, but according to LAVU they said they don't work with that bank but when i go back to my application they sent it states in HUGE letter the bank name! How can you explain that? I am Beyond upset with this unprofessional Company they are nothing, but ************ are not wanting to pay all the transactions we made at my Bar!! Total RIP OFFS, STAY AWAY FROM LAVU and avoid yourself a big disappointment.Review from Aaron C

Company is shady as heck. Was charged $270 for processing fees by accident which in turn had my new business account in the negative and associated fees attached . Company is very difficult to get in touch with and will have you on hold for simple questions for 10 minutes plus. Use anyone besides them. I am a new business owner and was scammed by them. Company didnt even see that they charged by mistake, i had to send a screenshot of my bank charges as they could not see the mistake on their end . Full of crap!Customer Response

I absolutely agree with ******************, After cancelling they promise to send a confirmation email but it never comes. Even after cancellation we were charged. On May 10 we received an email indicating we would soon receive an email confirming cancellation but it never came. Subsequently we were fraudulently charged. Attempts to obtain absolute confirmation we are closed with them have yielded nothing but excuses, we are still waiting for unauthorized charges to be refunded. All they do is pass the ball, case #s they issue are useless because every time you call you have to start over. DO NOT USE LAVU!Review from Mitchell F

Lavu makes you pay to resell their products. When you try and cancel they will not allow it or offer refunds for monthly payments that were not supposed to be drawn, I confirmed my cancelation in January and they are still attempting to bill me for nothing. The customer support team is a complete joke and will not offer any sort of help.Review from BF

Jan 2021, prepaid for a year of software at two locations. Starting February, got charged ~$80 monthly software at both locations. Called, emailed, refunded, made clear to remove my payment info, etc. Happened again in March. (Added a 3% processing fee with no prior disclosure too!) Then every month thru July. Called and emailed them every time, eventually refunded with slower and slower responses.In Aug, I just started disputing transactions as threatened. Random multiple terminal fees now popping up, still charging monthly. (We only have one terminal.) Also a random $50/mth per location charge for using PayPal for processing was added in July; that was never disclosed to or approved by me. I implemented a credit card stop-pay from the merchant. They have multiple merchant accounts; kept charging. Literally put Lavu on an unnecessary card and closed it just to get them to stop charging me random amounts. Now, Dec 2021, switching back to our former POS and processor now that our year is over despite the extra cost per month because Lavu cannot be trusted with credit card information and does not disclose their charges. Do not ever provide Lavu your credit card information.LAVU, Incorporated Response

Hi ******,I am so sorry you had to experience that and can only imagine how frustrating this whole thing must have been. We pride ourselves on treating customers by name and not by number, but it appears we failed this time. When our customer service team added your annual subscription, we did not turn off your monthly one. Then, when we switched billing systems, your monthly subscription came back in the migration. I have been told that we have refunded all fees, and your account is whole now. If that is not the case, please respond back, and I'll take care of you. Over a year and a half later... Lavu sends me a bill for $188 this morning. I inquire about it and get this:'We apologize for the delay in response in regards to your query we would like to inform you that the payment you have been getting notified for is towards the month of December 2021 the very month you have placed the cancellation request after the billing due so . This charge was liable but couldn't get processed at the time of the cancellation so we request you to please go through the invoice which we have attached and let me know if you have any questions I'll be happy to assist you as of now I could confirm that the account is cancelled and no further charges will be applicableReview from BM

I came to write a review about a great experience I had and read the past reviews. I hope those experiences are all in the past because I just signed a 3-year contract with them. Ha! So far I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of support I've received. Getting my menu up and running on a new POS isn't easy, but Lavu did all the heavy lifting for me, and I'm up and selling and the system is working great. Big thanks to ******* who took a personal interest in making sure my setup was successful. Thank you!Review from EAM

**** has been overcharging me (charging me when I didn't have an account) for years and lying to me about it.Most recently, they promised me a full refund of the fraudulent charges three weeks ago and now they have gone back on that.RUN FROM **** COMPANY!!! THEY ARE THIEVES WHO WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU AFTER YOU CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT.Two years since I dumped ****, and they're are still charging me. Every single month, I call them up and have to fight with the company because they will not stop charging me. They also change up the amount they charge every month. You all are thieves. You are stealing bread from my child's mouth.Even now, I've been on hold for over 30 minutes while they "look into things." Lies, lies lies. Thousands of dollars stolen from fraudulent charges and the many hours and hours of wasted time calling them have led me to believe one thing - **** (the entire criminal enterprise and all its workers) belong in jail.
