On October 14, 2022 my son sent 3 guns and one extra Barrel (16gauge) 243 is the other barrel Manufacture Rossi. Dave at Dave’s guns was responsible for packing them properly for shipping this was part of the pricing along with $1,200 of insurance to cover them. When the guns arrived they were still in the carry bag that you would use to transport them from your house to your truck, you would not ship them rubbing together in a carry bag from New Mexico to Tennessee. Ultimately, the stock was beat up on arrival. The gun manufacturer is no longer in business, we are unable to locate new stock for the gun and Dave cannot find the stock. I spoke to him today which is October 31, he has offered me $225 to buy a used gun. This gun was used very little and was in immaculate condition. I explain to Dave that he was responsible for properly packing and shipping them to Tennessee. At this point he thinks he can file a claim with UPS, UPS did not pack them they delivered them in a box that Dave provided. I feel today if you could still buy that gun with both barrels 16 gauge and 243 the gun is worth $500. Dave said he was not willing to do that , he wants me to ship this gun back to him in New Mexico and he would send me a check for $225. I do not agree with what he is doing. I tried to work this out with him, he is standing by his offer. Just a note Dave found a used gun online that we know nothing about that he wanted me to look at. I don’t think buying a used gun to replace the one I have is the right thing for him to do. He could buy me a new gun with the proper barrels by a different manufacture or I feel $500 would cover it.
