In December I installed a solar system. PNM swapped my old meter for a new meter. When I received my December bill, PNM claimed I used over ***** kWhrs in a 10 day period. My largest bill for 2023 was in the month of August where I used ***** kWhrs for the entire month. On average, PNM says we use 600 kWhrs a month. How did we use 1.5x our highest energy bill in a 10 day period in December (when we were not home for five of those 10 days)? Clearly someone misread the meter. PNM did not take a photo of the meter when they removed it. They have no way of verifying that the meter was read and reported correctly. The PNM supervisor said he would get back to me. That was one month ago. PNM are crooks.PNM Response

The meter reading was verified once the meter was tested. During the test, the testing equipment can see what the final reading was when the meter was pulled, and it was verified as being accurate. The meter test also showed that the meter was accurately recording the electrical consumption during the time it was installed at the customer property.Review from William B

On November 20, 2023 PNM came to my house and entered the back yard to read the meter WITHOUT letting us know by knocking on the door. We were home and so we're my dogs. He got the meter read ( which I had submitted 2 days prior online already, so totally did NOT need to be there) and got chased out by my dogs where he proceeded to spray my dogs with dog repellant. PNM said they don't need to knock on doors before entering a backyard. He's lucky we did not shoot him! This is unacceptable!Review from Ethan M

Terrible, rude people, and never helpful. Had a tree branch fall on a power line in my back yard and the lady was so rude. She just said "get a tree trimmer" and wouldn't even send someone out to assess the danger.Review from Beth B

This is strictly about PNM Customer **********************. They provide a telephone number with a large menu, which I find difficult to figure out and largely automated. When I find a choice that has a human, they tell me the wait is long and do I want a call back. When they call back, they tell me they can't help me, but I should wait for a specialist. They send me to a "specialist" who then proceeds to tell me that they have no ******************** like I applied for on their site, and like they sent me a confirmation number and reference # for. When I say I am looking at an email that reads, "This is an official communication from PNM, they tell me that they are not a "specialist" and I need to talk to another number. When I ask for that number, they get off the phone and come back without a number and tell me they are currently overwhelmed and the 3-5 business days they promised me are now a **** business day wait to learn if I am approved and yet they still expect ME to pay the outsized bill on time.Review from Leilani N

PNM emergency crews came by at 2am during a storm that kept our power sporadic at best. The wires were sparking outside the house. It turned out the tree the wires were caught up in were the issue, and some branches had to get cut (I warned PNM about the problem multiple times before and was told theyd be fine). The PNM crew did take care of cutting down a large amount of tree branches, but they also cut my cable line and telephone line. I could hear the crews complaining from outside while I was trying to get some sleep. I was told that PNM wasnt liable for the wires that were cut and left hanging from my house. I was also told to hire someone to remove the tree branches that were cut, which ended up being two truck beds worth of debris. We called PNM four times to get someone to talk to about the incident, but not one person seemed to care, nevermind actually offer any assistance. I ended up having to have other agencies fix the wires, and I had to cut down the tree branches myself and take them to the city dump.Review from Chandran V

This is at least the third time (1/4/23) I have received a letter stating that the gate was locked and hence the meter could not be read. The last time was on 6/21/22. I have sent letters to them WITH photos showing that the gate CANNOT be locked and yet I keep getting these letters. On 8/8/22, I got a letter saying too much vegetation. I sent them photos again showing the closest vegetation was at least 30 feet away.PNM simply has to get rid of incompetent help who ***** their responsibilities.By the way PNM, I maintain copies of all letters and photos I have sent contesting your claims.Review from Chris M

PNM claims they sent me an email with my bill, which was not true. I ask them about it and they make up unbelievable excuses, such as how ******* somehow has the power to prevent me from receiving emails from only PNM. As if ******* can actually control my gmail from reaching me. Blame anyone and everyone! Thats the PNM model. Thats how they get away with giving you a bill 2 days before its due. Thats how they make extra money. Zero customer **********************. Thats how they save money.Review from Pablita T

PNM is the worst company. I have had inspectors of my own and from their company. They gave me the okay. That was a month ago. And no one has come to install a meter. I have two small children living with me and it's getting so much colder. I understand I live on the Pueblo but doesn't mean that someone can't communicate with me or my in-laws!! I have the green to get my meter but now they sending me in circles. A tech design to do f******* what?! And they give me number after number and no one answers or calls you back! What f******** good are you ppl? It's getting colder and I'm afraid someone is gonna report me to CYFD last thing I need to add to my stress. I'm a single hard working mother, just moved outta a bad relationship to start over and you ppl have been Dicking me around for going on two months now! Get you S**** together and communicate better!!!!Review from Robin H

PNM has horrible customer **********************! They came on to my property and hacked up my tree without telling me first, left limbs hanging on cable lines, and left a huge mess in my yard. When I called to ask them to come out to clean the mess they said they don't do that because the tree is not their property. The mess they made is dangerous and irresponsible! I wish there was another power company in ***********.Review from Yesenia M.

It ***** that PNM is the only electric company. This gives them the opportunity to treat people like trash. I put on a request to transfer service from old apartment to a house I just bought and we are 3 days past the transfer date and I have no electricity. I am a veteran with health conditions and I have a 2 year old. They told me that I have to wait until tomorrow. They could not get my services transferred. They were able to disconnect services at my previous address but can not get me services in my mew address. This is a joke. We need other companies that cares about losing a customer. The manager explained to me that its because they are short on staff. How is that even our fault? If they cant deliver they should not be in business.
