    In May of 2023 I contacted Ray’s Flooring Specialists, Inc. for them to replace ceramic floor tiles in my residence. Their Builder Specialist, **** ***********, came to my residence and worked up a work proposal with price which I received by email on 30May2023. In an email reply to him, I wanted to know when the job would start. His email reply on 01Jun2023 stated “We are about 4 weeks out to start any kind of tile project”. That was ok for me and after a few more emails with my questions I sent him the signed/dated proposal attached in an email on 07Jun2023. No further communication occurred until two months later, 07Aug2023, when I texted him asking about when work would start. He replied that day that he “would have to check on that” for me “if scheduling has not been in touch”. They hadn’t and there was no communication from him until 14Aug2023 when I sent another text inquiring about the start. That same day he replied that “he was on it”. Again, no further communication until I texted him on 21Aug2023 asking him if it looked like a Sep/Oct start date. He replied that day with “We should definitely have people free in September”. There was nothing more from him for four weeks so I texted him on 19Sep2023 asking if the work would start before Thanksgiving and conveying this delay has caused me to not list my home for sale this fall. No response, so on 28Sep2023 I sent a final text stating I want to cancel the work because my project has been kept in limbo for four months and there was no response to the last text. I also wrote that cancellation is ok since no money had exchanged hands (I was never billed or directly asked for payment). I have not received a reply as of 05 Oct2023. I need help from BBB to get a written confirmation that this work proposal is voided and no payments are owed. Although their proposal states “All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents or delays beyond our control” this almost 5 month delay shows a bad faith business practice.
