Nursing services are not all bad but there a few quite bad apples that are racist and horrible and should not be in the field. This was my 1st but last experience I'd ever have at this hospital. HUMC is one of the worst in the group. Hackensack Meridian Health Riverside is night and day from HUMC. Don't go unless you are a trauma patient. Don't waste you money coming here. Food selection is extremely limited as well. Valley Medical Hospital up the road is so much better. DO NOT COME HERE!! My bed mate that was here also had a bad experience here that required followup medical care. Place is dirty, it is old and decrepit. One example to provide is that my PT was held in the stairway, not in a PT ***** Go to Mountainside, Overlook or again Valley. Stay away!! You or your family members lives will not have to be disappointed or endangered.

I visited the emergency room today because I had gotten injured at the gym , not only did they make me wait hours before they even looked at me or acknowledged my existence, but not once , twice I had to go up to a nurse and tell her about my pain that was killing me. The first time after 2 hours I told a nurse I cant take it anymore and she says well we will start by taking urine!! 2 hours of me waiting and now you want to take urine. Ok did the urine gave it to them. Waited another hour before a doctor, or should I say two doctors looking at me! One of them telling me I dislocated my shoulder then went to get another opinion then the second doctor starts moving my arm and pressing on my shoulder and all I can do is scream in pain, then they say ok u need imaging! Of course 2 hours later imaging decides to pass by and take me to an X-ray that lasted not even a minute. Back to the waiting room.. now second time going to the nurse in tears because I couldnt handle the pain. Didnt change into a gown , no IV no nothing a doctor takes me to a room gives me Tylenol when I told her Tylenol doesnt work for me she yells at me telling me well this is Tylenol #3 which I had no idea there was such a thing. Very rude staff, lazy doctors. She gives me the pill and kicks me out of the room saying go sit in the waiting room because we need this room and I will check on you in 30 minutes. Well literally 2 min pass by and the other doctor comes saying ok you can go home when I was still dying with pain. Well #1 that was h*** , #2 never going back there. #3 I understand doctors go through a lot and deal with many patients but they signed up for this so either treat your patients with respect or lose the license. Nobody will go to a hospital to spend 7 hours when they dont have anything going on! So yeah worst experience ever

Hackensack Children Hospital , did not follow a claim through until 1 year later and it was outside of bcbs (my insurance at the time), claim processing times , now I am in collections because full visit was charged to me which I disputed multiple times. I have been calling for a few months with no help. This is so unfair.
