Encouraging and supporting ethical business practices are important to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Nebraska, South Dakota, The Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa. The Integrity Award is the most prestigious award BBB can present to a business or charity. Being a recipient indicates that the organization not only believes in the high standards promoted by BBB, but also consistently acts on them and continuously integrates them into daily practices.
“BBB is pleased to conduct annual award programs to gain public recognition for organizations committed to ethical business practices. Each year, applicants are selected to receive these awards through regional competitions,” said BBB President Jim Hegarty. “The Awards are also designed to promote the willingness and efforts made by outstanding organizations that demonstrate a solid commitment to marketplace trust.”
The 2017 Award Winners were honored on Tuesday, October 17th for their unique contributions to business excellence in metro Omaha at BBB’s 22nd Annual Integrity Awards Luncheon held at the Omaha - La Vista Conference Center.
The Winners were chosen by independent panels of judges representing both the business and academic communities in Omaha. In the small business and charity categories the following received BBB Integrity Awards: Monarch Siding and Windows, Inc. (1-4 employees); Consortio Group, LLC (5-10 Employees); FirstLight Home Care – Omaha (11-24 employees) and Heartland Hope Mission (charity).

They are Pinnacle Bank, Signature Performance and First National Bank. The large charity that earned a BBB Integrity Award is Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc.
The judges felt that the overall quality of other applications was also strong. Those that demonstrated that they placed a high priority on honesty and integrity in the work place were recognized with “Silver Awards of Distinction” for significant commitment to ethical business practices. Others received “Bronze Awards of Merit” for exemplifying the values of the BBB.
