We contracted Alcove to rehab a house and it was a nightmare. He kept asking for money and told us all the inspections were complete and approved. WRONG! We finally fired Alcove and took it over with a reputable contractor. While he completed many outside projects the interior was never started and inspections never approved! Beware!

Terry, I know you're upset and to make yourself feel better you feel the need to lash out and try to hurt me. I promised you for months that if you kept up your shenanigans and unethical business practices that I would be forced to stop the project, but you did not care to listen to reason and continued to undermine me and refused to pay for the next phase of the remodel. I made an educated decision to relinquish my Building Permit and stop all work moving forward to avoid further problems financially and emotionally due to how I have been treated. My project manager Larry was diagnosed with Leukemia in early March of this year and placed on Chemo, I stepped in as quickly as possible but all you did was continue to break me down about timeframe and the like. These times we are living in are very strange and new to everyone in regards to obtaining certain materials and transportation, I do the absolute best I can. I can absolutely get along with anyone, but you my friend are the exception to that rule...I should have responded to the Red Flags in the beginning, especially word on the street from other contractors that you short pay or treat people bad. I told myself that since I can get along with anyone that I would not listen to the here say and help you because you were desperate to find a reputable licensed contractor for this project, now I understand why. The spin doctor is at it again. I contacted Eric to be sure the house was winterized before winter. Eric told me that is would be before it got cold. He waited to have the plumbing addressed until March and the plumber found 30+ breaks in the pipes and a burst water meter because the house was never winterized. He gladly took $100K from me in the process and told me all inspections had passed, when in essence the framing inspector after 3 inspections had still not passed the framing. Larry never came into the picture until January which was way to late to address any issues . I have never short paid anyone and have people who have worked for me for over 20 years. Your incompetence is disgusting from not winterizing a home without heat in Nebraska to trying to blame a project manager that was enlisted late. I can provide the plumbers name to anyone that would like to contact me at my email. *************************. I refused to pay for the next phase because you had not used the $100K you already received and although you called for a framing inspection in February (according to the city inspector it was not even close) you had not received an approval by May. Also I told you not to remove the washer/dryer or the refrigerator and they are all missing. Can you please explain that?

I also wanted to add I requested but never received any cost/expense accounting on the project. Eric wanted more money buy would never would provide any documentation. On top of that he presented an estimate of $123K but 6 weeks later tole me it would be $238K.

I realize you are upset Terry and you are trying anything to hurt me and my business. The bottom line is I blame myself for going against my better judgement and taking the job when everyone told me Terry *********** has screwed over every contractor in town and cannot get anyone to work for him. *************************************************************** *************************** if it makes you feel better I guess you can just keep the idle threats and name calling comments coming via text and email. My reputation is Golden because I go over and above on every project to make people happy and continue to use my services, I'm sorry we were not able to complete your project together. God Bless
