I would not recommend not only did they lie about having a secret service before the service we paid for for my dads funeral but they also put the wrong name on his clothing AND when giving us the remains that was also labeled incorrectly to where I had to call and make sure I had my dads right remains This had caused so much pain and suffering through out my whole family We are unsure still if the remains are even my fathers This situation hurts very much and the only thing the director could say was that maybe the person was thinking of her boyfriend when she labeled my dads deceased body

Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park Response

    04/15/2022

These concerns were brought to my attention on March 21, 2022. At that time I offered to meet with Justise and we scheduled an appointment on March 28, 2022 to verify her father's cremated remains. Forest Lawn has a numbering and tracking system to maintain the identity of cremated remains. On the day of the appointment, Justise called and informed me that her boyfriend had retrieved the metal id tag from the cremated remains, I read the number that we had in our records to her and she confirmed that the number matched. Regarding the id tag on the outside of the urn, the last name on the tag was her father's, The first name was incorrect. There was no mention of a boyfriend, what was said was the employee may have been thinking of or working with another person and confused the first name when preparing the name tag. Clothing was never mentioned. As far as the 'secret" service, there were family dynamics in play that would not be appropriate to discuss in this public forum. At the end of my conversation with Justise, I believed that the matter had been resolved.
