I rented from Falcon Realty on Cookeville, Tn for 6 years. Never missed a rent payment, always paid early. I experienced issues with parking, and neighbors who were loud, and made my complaints known, but little was done. A new neighbor moved in across the hall, who had a brood of children, which ran, jumped, and banged things all day long. I called the office to complain, yet nothing could be done. Being a 3rd shift worker, made it difficult to sleep. 2 days after that complaint, I received a non renewal notice on my door, that I had to be out 7/1/22. No reason was given, by the office personnel. It was just my time they said. I was out by the deadline, but had to leave some things behind, as I was unable to get everything out. I received a call 7/26/22 (recorded) from Devon M., that they needed a forwarding address to send my my sec. deposit return to. Never received that deposit return. A full 10 mos go by, and I am looking for a place, and did the application process. It came back denied, because Falcon gave me an unfavorable history reference, stating I had damages, and owed over my sec. deposit. I never received a list of damages within the 30 day period, yet here I have a voicemail stating a refund was coming. I have Informed Delivery with the post office, and no such letter was delivered. No debt collector calls, notices, etc. They have cost me 2 apartments, and have yet to send me a list of any damages, or given me a chance to rectify, compromise, or negotiate a payment. Ms. Devon M at the Cookeville office is very rude, and unprofessional. I am trying to find a place to live, for me and my disabled son, and they have taken our only options for housing away from us. I have the recorded message she left, asking where to mail the sec. deposit refund, and no list of damages was mentioned. There is nothing on my credit report either (a year later)! I believe it was retaliation, for my complaints about the neighbor and noise. This is illegal. #HOMELESS
