Bluebird gave me a roofing quote. Immediately following the roof inspection he came inside for the agreement to be signed by sliding over his ipad, so he could submit the details to my insurance. Giving no time to read it. After the claim had been approved the sales agent advised that i would need to pay out of pocket the deductible and uncovered costs before the completion of the job. I was then told the job wouldnt be completed for about 12 weeks and or by the 6 months completion time in the contract. On several calls I explained to the sales rep that i was uncomfortable paying any portion of money before the completion of work. He said he was unable to put me on the books until my portion was paid in full with no guarantee of a date it would be completed. I expressed that nothing in the contract said I was required to pay any portion up front, but the monies would have to be paid in full at completion. He then threatened to cancel my contract and come by to collect the 25% of the total job for doing so. He went back and forth and said he would call his boss Justin. He called back to acknowledge that I was correct and no monies would be due.until completed. ***** said he knew people didnt read contracts. He said this would be noted in my file. Once verified he said he needed to send over 3 documents for my signature. All 3 documents then said I would have to hand over all monies, including the insurance payment at the signing of the documents. Im very disappointed and discouraged to work with this company. The strong arming tactics used to get money before anything is done. I refused to sign anything in addition to my initial contract and now Im told I cant be placed in line for the job or cancel to move on without Bluebird charging me 25% for getting the claim approved. Prior to the approval of my claim, I referred my elderly mother. She was also told to sign the contract so the claim could be sent in. Immediately given on the ipad she couldnt see.
