I’m in Albert Lea Mn. I had Shay B come from plunketts and help in dealing with mice and ants. You don’t find to many men like him! Above and beyond setting traps and help in finding where they are coming he cleaned up under my dishwasher where the mice had chewed through the drain hose and stored cat food they got ahold. He pulled out my fridge and while checking back there for holes seen the mess under there and preceded to clean up the mess under there, oh yeah while checking underneath the stove, he also cleaned that! Thanx Shay you are the example of “ old time values” and your work ethic is above and beyond!! You deserve a raise??Plunkett's Pest Control, Inc. Response

I have had plunketts services for years and have been very pleased with their services in the spring and fall-----up until last spring (of 2023) and fall (2023). in the spring it was a different tech. He came and sprayed for approximately 5 minutes then left because he had a "long drive home"-about 90 miles. This August he supposedly came and sprayed, we have lots of people around the yard including myself, and no one saw him or his truck. I received the bill and called in, and I was told that he SAID he was here. I have seen more pests around here since then. I have cancelled my service.Plunkett's Pest Control, Inc. Response

Our records indicate that the technician visited your home on 8/30/23 and spent 21 minutes there and 15 minutes on the prior visit. We use GPS tracking in our technicians' trucks to accurately verify their service routes. We also discussed the service visit with your technician. I can reassure you that based on the square footage of your service location, a thorough service visit can be completed within this time frame. Watch out!! They will rip you off for “services” they say will eliminate rodents but they didn’t get rid of the problem if not made it worse!! Hired another company to fix these peoples mess and they said the amount of bait they were using would only last a week and they only came out every 3 months at the earliest!! The new company eliminated the problem and I haven’t had a single issue since! Then asked if they would give me some sort of a discount on the bill because of this and the lady was so rude and basically trash talked me and started YELLING at me! So rude! Hello ****,We apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced with our services. Our service guarantee extends for a period of 90 days from the commencement of service, which, in your case, began on 4/21/2022. This guarantee expired in July of 2022. Throughout the course of our engagement, we conducted service visits on 6/16/2022 and 8/25/2022, performed a winter check on 11/14/2022, another winter check on 1/18/2023, and concluded the service with the last visit on 4/18/2023. Never during this time did you have any complaints about our services. Regrettably, we received no prior complaints from you regarding our service until we approached you for payment, which, unfortunately, remains outstanding to this day. We want to emphasize that had you raised any concerns along with your attempts to settle the bill, we would have taken steps to address and resolve them promptly. However, given that we were not made aware of any issues and have fulfilled all aspects of our agreement, we cannot offer any further remedies at this juncture.We genuinely regret your dissatisfaction with our services, but we are pleased to hear that you have found an alternative solution to address your needs. Super disappointing. Not only do they make you hand over your CC info BEFORE even getting an appointment set up. It took an entire week to get someone to call me. Then they just left a very garbled message. Not really instilling confidence in their service. AND… although I can’t prove it, my card number was used for a fraudulent transaction. Thankfully my bank noticed it right away and declined the transaction. Now I have to get a brand new card. It’s the only place that has gotten my card number recently that wasn’t part of my normal monthly bills, so it makes me wonder how safe their online portal is. Anyway. Now I have to find an entirely new company for the pest (mouse) issue I’m having because when you don’t follow through, but take your “money” front, it makes one lose confidence extremely quickly.Plunkett's Pest Control, Inc. Hello *****,I'm so sorry to hear of this experience. That sounds truly awful, and we do not condone that kind of language or behavior from our staff. Upon receiving this review, it was immediately escalated to our ************** Manager - who manages all of our ************** Representatives, including the employee you mentioned. At **********, we record all of our calls with clients. Our CSR Manager told me she had already spoken with you and received possible phone numbers to reference with our database of recorded calls. Unfortunately, we could not find the call you referenced in any of that specific employee's call records, nor could we find any calls from the phone numbers you provided. Do you have another phone number we could search with? We take claims like this very seriously, so please do not hesitate to contact our office with any other information you may have that could help us investigate this matter. TERRIBLE customer service and results. I caught 1 chipmunk prior to hiring them. In 9 days of service I was told 1 chipmunk was caught. Checked the traps every morning and saw only missing bait with no capture. The trapper never tried anything different and every day bait was gone and nothing in traps. Gave me a service I did not order. And billed me and got paid before I even knew what they had done. Said I'm under contract. What contract. Stay away from these people. This company was referred to me by a ***** who used them a few years ago to rid his roof ***** of squirrels as well as block the access hole....and was charged between $300-$400. 3 years later I requested a quote for the same issue on a smaller house and was quoted $2,260. There is no way I'm going to pay that kind of money to get rid of a few squirrels and block a couple holes in the roof line above my porch. ********** work quality reputation seems great....but what happened to the pricing? Was I quoted this amount because the technician just didn't want the job? I'm at a loss. On top of this, I was charged $98 for the visit.Plunkett's Pest Control, Inc. Response

Hello ****,I'm sorry to hear that you were not happy with our services. It sounds like this transaction was between you and our wildlife division, *******************************. Wildlife and pest control services are different in pricing, as the jobs are very different. By the amount your friend charged ($300-$400), I know he was talking simply about trapping and not trapping and exclusion work. What went into that quote was an estimate for the trapping series and a quote for exclusion work, which by nature can become pricier as that involves the cost of materials to fix things, like the holes in your roof line. By fixing this, you are eliminating the chances that the squirrels will come back and re-nest within your roof again. While exclusion work is not required for us to trap, we cannot guarantee that your squirrels will not return once we remove them without the holes being patched. Had you gone through with the trapping and exclusion work, the $98.00 inspection fee would have been deducted from your final total. I completely understand how frustrating receiving a quote for more than you expected is. I'm sorry we could not help you in this instance. I appreciate your responsebut you still havent addressed why trapping a few squirrels and closing a hole above my porch about the size of a softball would cost $2,200.
