I was involved in an accident where a lady ran through a red light and completely totaled my vehicle the lady didn't stop right away and was parked down the road so when the cops arrived they asked me to get in their vehicle and drive down the road to where the lady was of course the tow company came to get our vehicle and they drove down to where me the cop and the other vehicles at and asked for my keys of course I gave it to them the key is but I was so shook up I didn't even think to get my apartment key or any of the other keys off of there nor did they offer to give them to me once I handed them the keys let alone did they offer or allow me to get any of my personal belongings out of the vehicle before they took it as well as I just found out that they actually told my fiance that they thought that the vehicle was completely vacant that someone got hit and just ran with it but how is that possible when they literally drove up to us and asked me for the keys and got them from me they refuse to let us get any of our belongings even if it's important paperwork or whatever unless we pay over $200 some dollars which how would we possibly have the money for that right now when our car are only family vehicle under a single income just got totaledI want to be able to get my important stuff out of there like my son's baby blanket our paperwork etc without having to pay money that we don't have and we will not have for a long time since they didn't offer that to me which I believe they are supposed to offer for me to get my things out of the vehicle but I believe that knowing that I was shook up they took advantage of me for what they could this company has a very bad reputation and they're really all about money they don't follow the rules that they're legally supposed to offer me to get my things out of there are they not before they take it like if it was up to me they would have taken it at all and I would have told it back to my house but I didn't have that choice
