Incorrectly installed heating system, causing ongoing furnace issues. inadequate air return since original build date as duct work too small, creating a vacuum. This issue has occured before completion of basement. No spray foam insulation around 16 windows. Large bedroom where independent builders and architects attest there should be 4 vents, verity only installs two (Verity themselves confirmed a minimum of 3 should be there). Many areas of the home where there is limited, to no insulation, leading to inefficiencies. MDF installed in bathrooms, cheapest trim, bowing walls, untrue angles of walls, incorrectly installed fireplace, massive drafts coming from vent, no insulation around duct work adjacent to outer walls, no ribbon insulation, bowing windows, poorly moulded windows, the list is endless. Poor service and lack of ownership of issues in general, a lot of finger pointing (to subpar sub contractors), and a manager who told me that if I don't like the poor quality to 'just sell it'. I don't expect all of this to be fixed, however the basics are below:- Remove dry wall around all 16 windows and spray foam insulation and re-jam windows which should have been done (there is currently no spray foam, so the windows don't seal and the house is not sealed). Make sure area is cleaned up and returned to prior condition.- Install larger air return on furnace - current air return is insufficient for system (not just basement air return which will be installed at owners expense using a different contractor).- Install 2 additional air ducts to bring more heat into masterbedroom, where there should be four heat registers.- Close up rear of fireplace - currently there is a large draft coming through front of natural gas fireplace due to poor installation. Verity's own warranty person - ****** confirmed that there is a draft due to incorrect installation when he used an infrared camera to investigate. I am simply asking for what should have been done.
