Shady practices. My fiancé at the time encouraged me to sign up for this service. I did but had buyers remorse and opted NOT to continue the program. I did not realize that i had to contact to cancel as i continued to receive enrollment information on an annual basis. NOT enrolling however, they continued to charge me for the service. This is the downside to paperless billing and autopay. You don't know if there are other charges on your account. I only discovered this charge when we sold our house and the billing for homesmart lagged behind the other charges. There have been many renditions of terms and conditions some of which do NOT indicate cancellation in writing to homesmart in order to discontinue billing through xcel. I spent hours on the phone between xcel and home serve today without resolution. I did get a bogus phone number for someone named Nicole ******* who, I was lied to, was supposed to work with reimbursements. Again, shady practices between both companies. Shame on them, and shame on me for believing in people. I would NEVER recommend this service and shame on xcel energy for their lack of customer service. Jodi C-B
